    This unit has been engineered and manufactured to ensure your personal safety,however improper use may result in potential electrical shock or fire hazards. Inorder to allow the proper operation of all safeguards incorporated in this display,observe the following basic rules for its installation, use, and servicing.

    On SafetyU se only the pow er cord supplied w ith the unit. In case you use another pow ercord, m ake sure that it is certified by the applicable national standards if not beingprovided by the supplier. If the pow er cable is faulty in any w ay, please contact them anufacturer or the nearest authorized repair service provider for a replacem ent.

    The pow er supply cord is used as the m ain disconnection device. Ensure that thesocket-outlet is easily accessible after installation.

    O perate the display only from a pow er source indicated in the specifications ofthis m anual or listed on the display. If you are not sure w hat type of pow er supplyyou have in your hom e, consult w ith your dealer.

    O verloaded A C outlets and extension cords are dangerous. So are frayed pow ercords and broken plugs. They m ay result in a shock or fire hazard. Call your servicetechnician for replacem ent.

    As long as this unit is connected to the AC w all outlet, it is not disconnected fromthe AC pow er source even if the unit is turned off.

    D o not O pen the D isplay:There are no user serviceable com ponents inside.There are D angerous H igh Voltages inside, even w hen the pow er is O FF.Contact your dealer if the display is not operating properly.

    To A void Personal Injury :D o not place the display on a sloping shelf unless properly secured.U se only a stand recom m ended by the m anufacturer.D o not drop an object on or apply im pact to the product. D o not throw any toys

    To Prevent Fire or H azards:Alw ays turn the display O FF if you leave the room for m ore than a short periodof tim e. N ever leave the display O N w hen leaving the house.Keep children from dropping or pushing objects into the display's cabinetopenings. Som e internal parts carry hazardous voltages.D o not add accessories that have not been designed for this display.

    W hen the display is to be left unattended for an extended period of tim e, unplugit from the w all outlet.In the presence of thunder and lightning, never touch the pow er cord and signalcable because it can be very dangerous. It can cause electric shock.

    On Installation

    D o not allow anything to rest upon or roll over the pow er cord, and do not placethe display w here the pow er cord is subject to dam age.

    D o not use this display near w ater such as near a bathtub, w ashbow l, kitchensink, laundry tub, in a w et basem ent, or near a sw im m ing pool.

    D isplays are provided w ith ventilation openings in the cabinet to allow the releaseof heat generated during operation. If these openings are blocked, built-up heatcan cause failures w hich m ay result in a fire hazard. Therefore, N EVER:

    Block the bottom ventilation slots by placing the display on a bed, sofa, rug, etc.Place the display in a built-in enclosure unless proper ventilation is provided.Cover the openings w ith cloth or other m aterial.

    Place the display near or over a radiator or heat source.

    D o not rub or strike the Active M atrix LCD w ith anything hard as this m ay scratch,m ar, or dam age the Active M atrix LCD perm anently.

    D o not press the LCD screen w ith your finger for a long tim e as this m ay causesom e afterim ages.

    Som e dot defects m ay appear as Red, G reen or Blue spots on the screen.H ow ever, this w ill have no im pact or effect on the display perform ance.

    If possible, use the recom m ended resolution to obtain the best im age quality foryour LC D display. If used under any m ode except the recom m ended resolution,som e scaled or processed im ages m ay appear on the screen. H ow ever, this ischaracteristic of the fixed-resolution LCD panel.

    Leaving a fixed im age on the screen for a long tim e m ay cause dam age to thescreen and cause im age burn-in. M ake sure to use a screen saver on the product.Burn-in and related problem s are not covered by the w arranty on this product.

    D o not shock or scratch the front and sides of the screen w ith m etallic objects.O therw ise, it m ay cause dam age to the screen.

    M ake sure the panel faces forw ard and hold it w ith both hands to m ove. If youdrop the product, the dam aged product can cause electric shock or fire. Contactan authorized the service center for repair.

    Important Precautions

    On Cleaning

    U nplug the display before cleaning the face of the display screen.U se a slightly dam p (not w et) cloth. D o not use an aerosol directly on the displayscreen because over-spraying m ay cause electrical shock.

    W hen cleaning the product, unplug the pow er cord and scrub gently w ith a softcloth to prevent scratching. D o not clean w ith a w et cloth or spray w ater orother liquids directly onto the product. An electric shock m ay occur. (D o not usechem icals such as benzene, paint thinners or alcohol)Spray w ater onto a soft cloth 2 to 4 tim es, and use it to clean the front fram e;w ipe in one direction only. Too m uch m oisture m ay cause staining.

    On Repacking

    D o not throw aw ay the carton and packing m aterials. They m ake an ideal

    container in w hich to transport the unit. W hen shipping the unit to anotherlocation, repack it in its original m aterial.

    On Disposal

    The fluorescent lam p used in this product contains a sm all am ount of m ercury.D o not dispose of this product w ith general household w aste.D isposal of this product m ust be carried out in accordance to the regulations ofyour local authority.

    ImportantThis illustration depicts the general model of connection. Your monitor may differ fromthe items shown in the picture.Do not carry the product upside down holding only the stand base. The product mayfall and get damaged or injure your foot.

    Before setting up the monitor, ensure that the power to the monitor, the computer

    system, and other attached devices is turned off.

    Connecting the stand

    1. Place the m onitor w ith its front facing dow nw ard on a soft cloth.

    2. A ssem ble the Stand B ase(Front, R ear) into the Stand B ody in the correct direction.

    3. Tie dow n the base lock to perpendicularity direction.

    4. O nce assem bled take the m onitor up carefully and facethe front side.

    1. Put a cushion or soft cloth on a flatsurface.

    3. Change your lock on the product as it follow s and turn it in the arrow direction.

    If you can't release the stand base even the locking rib is at a release position,Please push the indicated rib dow n and retry it.

    Control Panel Functions

    This Indicator lights up as red when the display isoperating normally(On Mode). If the display is inSleep Mode (Energy Saving), this indicator colorchanges to flicker.

    Use this button to turn the display on or off.Power Button

    AUTO IMAGE ADJUSTMENTWhen adjusting your display settings, always pressthe AUTO/SET button prior to entering the OnScreen Display(OSD). This will automatically adjustyour display image to the ideal settings for the

    current screen resolution size (display mode).

    The best display mode is:W1953TE: 1360 x 768

    This is lens for light sensor select outside luminance,when setting AUTO BRIGHT ON.

    Screen Adjustment

    Making adjustments to the image size, position and operating parameters of

    the display is quick and easy with the On Screen Display Control system.

    A short example is given below to familiarize you with the use of the controls.

    The following section is an outline of the available adjustments and selections

    you can make using the OSD.

    To m ake adjustm ents in the O n Screen D isplay, follow these steps:

    Press the M EN U B utton, then the m ain m enu of the O SD appears.

    To access a control, use the or B uttons. W hen the icon you w ant

    becom es highlighted, press the A U TO /SET B utton.

    U se the / B uttons to adjust the im age to the desired level. U se the

    A U TO /SET B utton to select other sub-m enu item s.

    Push the M EN U B utton once to return to the m ain m enu to select another

    function. Push the M EN U B utton tw ice to exit from the O SD .

    NOTE

    Allow the display to stabilize for at least 30 m inutes before m aking im age adjustm ents.

    You were introduced to the procedure of selecting and adjusting an item

    using the OSD system. Listed below are the icons, icon names, and icon

    - GAUSSIAN BLUR:This option is to add the effect to the screenthat the dark and sharp image becomesbrighter and more blurred.

    - SEPIA:This option changes the screen to be Sepiatone. The Sepia tone is brown color tone.

    - MONOCHROME:

    This option changed the screen to be Graytone. The screen is displayed by white, black,gray.

    Troubleshooting

    No image appears

    Check the following before calling for service.

    No image appears

    Do you see a "OSD LOCKED" message on the screen?

    Is the power cord of the

    display connected?

    Is the power indicator

    light on?

    Is the power indicator

    flickering?

    Do you see an "OUT OF

    RANGE" message on

    the screen?

    Do you see a "CHECKSIGNAL CABLE"

    message on the

    screen?

    Check and see if the power cord is connectedproperly to the power outlet.

    Press the Power button.

    If the display is in power saving mode, try movingthe mouse or pressing any key on the keyboard to

    bring up the screen. Try to turn on the PC.

    This message appears when the signal from thePC (video card) is out of horizontal or verticalfrequency range of the display. See the'Specifications' section of this manual andconfigure your display again.

    This message appears when the signal cablebetween your PC and your display is notconnected. Check the signal cable and try again.

    You can secure the current control settings,so that they cannot be inadvertently changed.You can unlock the OSD controls at any timeby pushing the MENU button for severalseconds: the messageOSD UNLOCKED will appear.

    Troubleshooting

    Display image is incorrect

    Display Position is

    Press the AUTO/SET button to automaticallyadjust your display image to the ideal setting.If the results are unsatisfactory, adjust the imageposition using the H position and V position iconin the on screen display.

    Press the AUTO/SET button to automaticallyadjust your display image to the ideal setting.If the results are unsatisfactory, decrease thevertical bars or stripes using the CLOCK icon in

    the on screen display.

    Press the AUTO/SET button to automaticallyadjust your display image to the ideal setting.If the results are unsatisfactory, decrease thehorizontal bars using the PHASE icon in the onscreen display.

    Check Control Panel --> Display --> Settings

    and adjust the display to the recommendedresolution or adjust the display image to the idealsetting. Set the color setting higher than 24 bits(true color).

    ImportantCheck Control Panel --> Display --> Settings and see if the frequency or the

    resolution were changed. If yes, readjust the video card to the recommendresolution.

    If the recommended resolution (optimal resolution) is not selected, letters maybe blurred and the screen may be dimmed, truncated or biased. Make sure toselect the recommend resolution.

    The setting method can differ by computer and O/S (Operation System),and resolution mentioned above may not be supported by the video cardperformance. In this case, please ask to the computer or the video card

    manufacturer.

    Display image is incorrect

    The screen color ismono or abnormal.

    The screen blinks.

    Check if the signal cable is properly connected

    and use a screwdriver to fasten if necessary.

    Make sure the video card is properly inserted in

    the slot.

    Set the color setting higher than 24 bits (true color)

    at Control Panel -Settings .

    Check if the screen is set to interlace mode and if

    yes,change it to the recommend resolution.
