As chassis systems become increasingly more e lectronical ly dr iven,

Delphi is there to help br idge the transit ion to the future. Our expert ise is

found in emerging product l ines such as electrical steering and brake-by-

wire. Today, we offer a wide range of innovative components along with

their l inking technologies. Our connection systems, sensors, switches and

actuators help provide essential data and control for al l major chassis

systems – braking, steering, and suspension.

Quality-built Delphi connectors are

commonly found in anti-lock braking systems

(ABS) around the world. This vehicle system

exerts control over all four wheels during

braking to help prevent wheel lock-up.

Delphi offers connectors for electronic

control modules with the ability to help

optimize the ABS design for any vehicle

type.

A B S S e n s o r s & A c t u a t o r s –

Delphi connections help to link together ABS

components including wheel speed sensors,

toothed coding rings and hydraulic

modulators.

Tr a c t i o n C o n t r o l –

The traction control function is typically

implemented as an extension of ABS to help

minimize wheel spin.

Delphi Connection Systems can assist

in linking various components found in

emerging braking technologies.

Brake-by-wire eliminates the need for a

direct mechanical / hydraulic link between

the brake pedal and brakes. Sensors on the

brake pedal determine braking pressurebeing applied by the driver.

Delphi's sealed connection systems can

provide valuable sealing capabilities to

suspension components subjected to

harsh road and environmental conditions.

E l e c t r o n i c L o a d L e v e l i n g –

Delphi is one of the world’s leading

suppliers of leveling systems, which are

designed to adjust the height of a

vehicle's rear suspension.

The VSC / ESD function allows wheels to

brake independently to maintain vehicle

stability. Electronic Shock Damping

adjusts spring rate and damping

characteristics of the shock absorbers, to

improve vehicle

stability.

Delphi's connection

systems can be designed to help support

the high current demands of electric

steering systems.

Electrically-powered steering systems

utilize electric motors, rather than

hydraulics, to generate steering power

assist.

S t e e r - b y - W i r e –

This system requires an electronic link

between the steering column and the

electric motor which powers the steering.
