Ingredients     •1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour•1/2 cup sugar•1-3/4 teaspoons baking powder•1/2 teaspoon salt•1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon•1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg•1 egg•1/2 cup milk•3 tablespoons canola oil•3 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce•1 medium McIntosh apple, peeled and grated

•TOPPING:•1/4 cup packed brown sugar•1 tablespoon all-purpose flour•2 tablespoons cold butter•1/2 cup quick-cooking oats

•CINNAMON-HONEY BUTTER:•1/2 cup butter, softened•1/4 cup honey•1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

DirectionsIn a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. In another bowl, whisk the egg, milk, oil and applesauce. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in apple. Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups half full.For topping, in a small bowl, combine brown sugar and flour; cut in butter until crumbly. Add oats. Sprinkle over muffins.Bake at 350° for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.In a small bowl, beat the butter, honey and cinnamon until blended. Serve with warm muffins. Refrigerate leftover butter. Yield: 1 dozen.

envolve mover os olhos de cima para baixo na página, procurando

palavras chaves, frases especificas ou ideias. Ao realizar o scanning

procure verificar se o autor fez uso de organizadores no texto, como:

números, letras, passos ou as palavras primeiro, segundo, próximas.

Procure por palavras em negrito, itálico, tamanhos de fontes ou cores

diferentes. O processo de scanning é muito útil para encontrar

que combinam informação verbal e não verbal, aquilo que se busca pode

estar apenas num gráfico ou tabela, por exemplo. Nesse caso, a leitura do

texto passa a ser apenas confirmação das informações obtidas por meio de

tais recursos.
