1. SOBRE “OS FUTUROS”
A) Na língua inglesa há duas formas de futuro:
1ª) (BE) + GOING TO.
2ª) WILL.
3ª) SHALL (Como indicador de Futuro, caiu em desuso).
1ª) BE + GOING TO
Na prática, apesar das leves diferenças, as duas formas “Will” e “(Be) going to” são usadas intercambiavelmente.
FOR EXAMPLE:
I’m going to be single/I’m gonna be singleOU
I will be single/ I’ll be single
2ª) WILL
PODEMOS USAR WILL PARA FALAR SOBRE:
• PROMISING (Uma Promessa)
I promise I will not be late.
Relax, Mom! We will be back early!
I will tell you when I finish.
• OFFERING (Um serviço sendo oferecido)
I will come and pick you up if you want.
We will bring your things if it’s necessary!
If you need, I will look after it.
• REQUESTING (Um pedido)
Will you phone me, please?
Will they carry my bags for me?
Will you help me?
• PREDICTIONS (Predições)
I don’t think it will rain this morning.
I think she will win the election.
I’m sure they will be very happy.
