A TECHNOEDIF, é uma empresa portuguesa, independente, criada em 1965 com a denominação Lusotecna e que esteve integrada no Grupo Technip (Technip Portugal), entre 1989 e 2005. A Empresa desenvolve actividades de concepção de instalações para indústrias de processo (refinação de petróleo, petroquímica e química, armazenagem e distribuição de combustíveis, centrais térmicas, etc.) e estudos e projectos para outros empreendimentos.
TECHNOEDIF is a Portuguese, multidisciplinary, independent engineering company, created in 1965 with the name Lusotecna. It was integrated into the Technip group, in the period 1989 to 2005 (Technip Portugal). TECHNOEDIF specializes in global engineering services, particularly, the facilities for the process industries (petroleum refining, petrochemical and chemical industries, fuels storage and distribution, thermal power plants) and studies and projects for other ventures.

This technology uses high definition laser equipment and allows the development thereafter of revamp projects in process plants and other installations using a 3D model.

GIPEC - Groupe Industriel du Papier et de la Cellulose - awarded Technoedif Engenharia, S.A. a Technical-economic Feasibility Study for the construction of a new Chlorine Plant in Algeria.
The intent of the study is the preparation of a document that covers all aspects, such as technical, economic, financial, social, institutional, rules and regulations etc. that will have an influence and an impact on the execution of the project allowing to define the conditions for the execution, viability and profitability, also defining a program for the stages past project construction.
The study should be completed within 6 months. The study will be done in phases as it has been divided into 6 parts, each of them dealing separately with the various aspects of the study.

A Joint Venture was created between Galp Energia, IPG - Independent Petroleum Group (a Kuwaiti Company) and SPI - Sociedade Gestão e Investimentos (a Mozambican Company) to build a Bulk Storage Plant with a capacity of 67.000m3 of diesel, petrol and biofuel at the Beira Petroleum Terminal in Mozambique. The terminal will occupy a total area of 4.7 ha. For the implementation of the project, IGBTL (the Joint Venture) contracted TECHNOEDIF for the PMC services (Project Management Consultancy) and the development of the Advanced FEED, as basis for the inquiry for the EPC Contract.

Having as ultimate goal an improvement in energy efficiency, Galp Energy intends to modernize unit 200 of their Aromatics Plant at the Matosinhos Refinery, by revamping it to apply the Extracting Technology of GTC. Units 100, 400 and 3300 will also be included in the project.
TECHNOEDIF, in cooperation with Technip France, was awarded the development of the FEED (Front End Engineering and Design) for this project, using as basis of design the Basic Process Package prepared by the licensor.
This project phase started in July 2012 having as target completion January 2013. Technip France participates in the project providing expert support to TECHNOEDIF in the process, constructability and cost estimating areas.
As an alternative to the revamp, the installation of a new unit will also be evaluated.

Galp Energy awarded TECHNOEDIF, on a fixed price basis, an EPCM (Engineering, Procurement and Construction management) contract for all activities planned for the 5 week duration shutdown of the reactor/regeneration section of Sines Refinery FCC (Fluid Catalytic Cracking) unit, which is scheduled for March 2014.
TECHNOEDIF´s work under this contract was started in August 2012 and will continue until June 2014, when the construction contracts close-out meetings and the handover of the project close-out report and construction data-book are scheduled to take place.
With this award the trust that Galp Energy puts on the technical and project / construction management capabilities of TECHNOEDIF is confirmed.

Following Basic Engineering, performed by Technoedif, Galp Energia also awarded Technoedif, on a LSTK basis, the project for the replacement of the Feed/Effluent Exchanger of its Catalytic Reforming Unit at Matosinhos Refinery.
The new equipment will be a Helitower vertical shell & tube heat exchanger with helical baffles, a proprietary product of Lummus Technology Heat Transfer, a CB&I Company.
This innovative exchanger will provide enhanced shell side performance and contribute to a better heat integration of the unit, with lower operating costs and emissions. Technoedif will execute this project applying 3D tools backed by a 3D Laser Survey of the existing unit.
The project represents an investment of over 2.5M€ for Galp Energia and brings energy savings of aproximately 2.2 Gcal/h.
