O autismo classificado como um transtorno invasivo do desenvolvimento envolve graves dificuldades ao longo da vida nas habilidades sociais e comunicativas além daquelas atribuídas ao atraso global do desenvolvimento, do comportamento, de interesses limitados e repetitivos - INTRODUÇÂO. Os pais, ao optarem por certo tipo de intervenção, precisam ter em mente que não há evidencias de que um tratamento específico seja capaz de curar o autismo e que tratamentos diferentes podem ter um impacto especifico - JUSTIFICATIVA. Realizou-se um estudo com objetivo de mostrar as mudanças em relação ao comportamento de portadores de autismo frente atividades lúdico-recreativas oferecidas pelo educador físico na APAABB - OBJETIVO. Para verificar os resultados, fez-se uma entrevista com os pais com perguntas abertas sobre o comportamento dos autistas após realização das atividades lúdicas e observação diante o período de maio a agosto de 2006 - METODOLOGIA. Os resultados mostraram que o trabalho de forma lúdica para os portadores de autismo está afetando para melhor suas características, tornando-os mais sociáveis e interagindo melhor nas atividades, mais independentes nas suas próprias atitudes o que é indicativo de que no futuro, com a continuação da participação deles venham a ter capacidade e se tornar participantes da sociedade - CONCLUSÃO.

The classified autismo as an invasive upheaval of the development involves serious difficulties throughout the life in the social and communication abilities beyond those attributed to the global delay of the development, the behavior, limited and repetitive interests. The parents, when opting to certain type of intervention, need to have in mind that does not have evidences of that a specific treatment is capable to cure the autismo and that different treatments can have an impact specify. A study with objective was become fullfilled to show to the changes in relation to the behavior of autismo carriers front playful- recreation activities offered by the physical educator in the APAABB. To verify the results, an interview with the parents with questions opened on the behavior of the autistas became after accomplishment of the playful activities and comment ahead the period of May the August of 2006. The results had shown that the work of playful form for the autismo carriers is affecting for better its characteristics, becoming them more sociable and more good interacting in the activities, more independent in its proper attitudes what he is indicative of that in the future, with the continuation of the participation of them they come to have capacity and if to become participants of the society.
