1. Machining Process

Purpose Assembly, computer operated machining ensures production of consistently high quality componentsto precision tolerances. All valve parts machined have been under the control of a comprehensive qualityassurance system and details drawings.

Especially, MCT & CNC machining work cells have been created in the machine shop to reduce themanufacturing time and improve the quality through decreasing employees involved and empower continualinvestment in manufacturing hardware such as the latest CNC machining equipment, research laboratories andtesting facilities and ensures that UNIFLO  products are the best available.

2. Characteristics of Product

UNIFLO’s Control valves are designed and manufactured for durability, long life cycle and maintenance

ease as follows:

- Double Free Operation : Heavy top-guiding ensures stable and optimized operation of the UNIFLO

Products throughout the entire stroking range.

The effects of unexpected system upsets or heavy vibration are minimized with

this construction. 

- Reduced Noise Levels : The optional multi-hole low noise trim designs provide single-stage and

double stage noise attenuation benefits.Potential noise reduction levels of up to 25dBA are possible, depending on the

specific operating conditions.

- Long Life-Cycle : Optional Anti-cavitation trim is also available in single stage and double-stage

configurations.

Proper control of dynamic cavitation conditions is extremely important for

continuous high performance and operation of control valves. 

- Lower Cost : Dependable tight shutoff of a control valve minimizes loss of process fluids,and can potentially eliminate the need for separate isolation valves.

The optional soft seat design, provides bubble-tight shutoff capabilities in

accordance with ANSI/FCI and IEC requirements.

UNIFLO’s  Shut-off valves are engineered & tested for long life service under million cycle.

- Lower torque : There is no frictional contact between Stem / Disc / Ball and Soft / Metal Seat, which

makes frictional almost close to zero, thus markedly reducing operation torque.The upper and lower journal shaft bearing provide high compression strength and lowfriction. So those UNIFLO Valve operations are very smooth and easy.

- Long life service : When the Stem/Disc/Ball contact the tapered face of the Soft/Metal Seat, a completeseal is attained, which results in long life service.

3. Special Process

UNIFLO is special processing control with welding work  on the metal Body & Parts of the product asfollows.

- When found to any external defects, Casting shall be repaired by welding.- When repair welding done after the casting has been heat treated, or when heat treatment is required by

the specification, the casting shall be re-heat treated.- Whenever a defect is removed, the excavated areas shall be examined by Non- Destructive Testing

(NDT), such as Radiographic Test (R/T), Dye Penetrate testing (P/T), Magnetic Particle Testing (M/T)

and Ultrasonic Testing (U/T). - All welding processes are in accordance with ASME VIII and IX are covered by relevant qualifications- UNIFLO’s welding engineers can choose from a variety of carbon and stainless steel to apply to critical

item areas for the improves performance and extends valves life.

1. Design Engineering

UNIFLO design engineers combine proven engineering expertise with state-of the art technology, including

computer aided design (2~3D Auto CAD) and Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) Program with finiteelement analysis (Structure, Thermal, Fluid and Mobile), to refine existing designs and help develop new products.

The minimum wall thickness of Valve  bodies and other pressure containing parts, such as covers, extension plates is in accordance with ANSI B 16.34 Table 3.

The pressure / temperature rating for the Valve is in accordance with the appropriate class which is ANSI

B16.5 or B 16.34 and dimensional for the face to face which is in accordance with ANSI B 16.10

All valves are designed to operate under the serve conditions in accordance with the following codes:

2. Materials Design

The information contained in this section is for reference purpose only and is not to be construed as

1) Shell parts

The pressure containing components, or shell, of UNIFLO Valves included the body and bonnet.A variety of materials in compliance with API 6D, 602. 608, 609 & ASME/ANSI B 16.34 and ASME materials specifications are used, the standard materials used for the shell are :

- Carbon Steel : A216Cr. WCB, LCB, A105, LF2,. etc- Stainless Steel : A182 F304/304L/316/316L,. etc- Alloy Steel : A217 WC6/9, C5/12/15,. etc- Duplex : A743CK3MDU, CD-4MCU, F51

2) Stem / Cage / Ball / Disc parts

The standard metallic trim materials are available upon request

- Carbon Steel with Tungsten or Nickel thermal spray coating by the principles of Plazmaor Electro less Nickel plating

- Stainless Steel : A351 CF8/8M/3/3M, A276-316/304L/316L,.etc- Duplex : A743CKMDU, CD-4MCU,F51,.etc- Other materials, such as alloy 20, Titanium, Monel /Inconel, and Hastelloy,.etc

3) Seat and Packing parts

For detailed information on seat and packing materials, please contact UNIFLO Technical Department.

But usually, UNIFLO used to the following standard materials.

- Seat : Teflon, Nylon, Devlon, Peek, Carbon, / Stellite-21,Metal with Tungsten or Nickel thermal spray by the principles of Plazma,.etc

- Packing : Teflon, Viton, EPDM, Graphite,. etc

4) Bolts and Nuts parts

Bolting materials used in UNIFLO Valves are in accordance with the requirement ASTM/ANSI B16.34

and ASME material standards. 

5) Actuators

All kind of Actuators used in UNIFLO Valves are in accordance with the Clients requirements,But usually, UNIFLO used to the following types.

UNIFLO is fully equipped with all necessary device to assure a perfect inspection of all part manufacturedbefore shipment according to the customer’s specific requirement and special testing such as low

temperature can also be performed and the equipment for inspections covers components and finishedproducts both.  Our inspection and test capabilities include but are not limited to,

7. nuflo Ball Valve (International Patents)

UNIFLO nuflo ball valve with movable seats design is specially designed to offer a solution in server.

Seat wear condition and having operational difficulty due to slurry accumulation between ball and seat.

When the ball is about to rotate to any position or in open position, the non-fixed seats are detached

from the ball surface by pneumatic control. The non-fixed seat moves toward the ball and tight shut to

ball surface when the ball is in closed position.

With this superior movable seats design, there will be no leakage due to excessive seat wear and

excellent sealing effect since the seats are tightened to ball be pneumatic pressure.

10. Actuators

UNIFLO Actuator product is a pneumatic, spring-opposed diaphragm actuator operating from plant

air. Excellent long-term accuracy and reliability is achieved through the use of multiple springs in theactuator.

The rugged one-piece yoke, the pressed steel diaphragm case and the special nylon reinforced

diaphragm provide dependable, high thrust performance. Additionally, the precision formed

diaphragm eliminates friction and reduces variations in the effective area during operation which, in

turn, results in exceptional linearity.

Five different sizes of the UNIFLO actuators an optional top or side-mounted manual override is

available on both direct and reverse actin with various accessories can virtually satisfy all application

requirements.
