The places that I will mention below are what make Santa Marta, an unforgettable city.

The Bolivarian Museum of Contemporary Art is the most important cultural center of Santa Marta, this nonprofit institution is responsible for preserving the legacy of Simon Bolivar in the Quinta de San Pedro Alexandrian, and permanently organizes academic and cultural activities as the Chair St. Peter of Alexandria, the Bolivarian Student Symposium, guided tours and art exhibitions of renowned artists from home and abroad, providing the city and region a schedule for the leisure to train and entertain with high levels of quality.

The Quinta de San Pedro Alexandria was founded on February 2, 1608 by the canon of the Cathedral of Santa Marta adults Courtesy Alberto Pedraza Quiroz and with the name "La Florida St. Peter of Alexandria," in memory of Spanish martyr Pedro Godoy.With the passage of time and history, the property owners changed 15 times, among which last names like Mondragon, Orozco, Zubiría, De Mier and others.Today it is one of the most important tourist attractions of the city of Santa Marta and is administered by the Foundation Bolivarian Museum of Contemporary Art.The buildings in Alexandria Quinta De San Pedro are distributed as follows:Main house, labor sector and the modern sector.

Tayrona National Park is located in the Caribbean Region in Colombia. Its area is part of the Department of Magdalena.A 34 km from the city of Santa Marta is one of the most important natural parks of Colombia. It is habitat for a large number of species distributed in regions with different climatic zones ranging from sea level to heights of 900 m.

The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta is a magical destination at the confluence of the wisdom of nature and the indigenous. Each step is a meeting inside with a unique beauty and exuberance in the world. It is the highest elevation near the sea, independent of the Andes mountain range.It all thermal, from the warm dry until whose melting snows born lagoons and rivers, 3,000 meters above sea level. Around 29 major rivers live countless birds and howler monkeys who sing the soundtrack of the Sierra.

The Sea Aquarium and Museum of the slide is a public aquarium and maritime museum located in Inca Inca Cove beachfront Rodadero in Santa Marta, northern Colombia. It was opened in 1965 by Captain Francisco Ospina Navia.It is an exhibition of marine fauna composed of pools built in the sea, glass aquarium and museum.Today the Aquarium has 13 ponds, 15 glass aquariums more than 100 species and 900 specimens including marine invertebrates and vertebrates, including fish, mammals, reptiles, birds. Three (3) boats, museum, auditorium and more.

Taganga is a township in the District of Santa Marta, in the Department of Magdalena (Colombia) 1 located in the cove of the same name, is surrounded by mountains with cactus vegetation and small trees, as trupillo, and shrubs. Access to Taganga is possible by road from the center of the city of Santa Marta. There are frequently minibuses routes ranging from Race 5, in Santa Marta to Taganga. Characteristic and typical fishing village, Taganga is popular for its scenery and viewpoints.

The Cathedral of Santa Marta was the first basilica built in Latin America and its construction dates from 1765, when then Governor Mr. Andrés Pérez wanted to build a cathedral to endure and resist the uncertainties given the task to engineer Don Juan Cayetano plans start this church of the Catholic faith in the Renaissance style. At the beginning of its construction the city had a population greatly diminished due to multiple attacks of English, French and Dutch which from 1543 until 1712, succeeded in burning and looting the city more than 20 times. This cathedral is one of the monuments that make us feel proud to Santa Marta, is full of memories and legends, and somewhere in the building is hidden a small urn containing the heart and guts of the Liberator Simon Bolivar.

Customs House: This building is considered the first to be architecturally raised not only in the city but in America by the Spanish, located in the Historic Center of Santa Marta which was where the city originally founded and which has survived fires, earthquakes and plundering pirates. The Customs House has also gone through many names and functions, including the first was the government house after the Consulate of Customs, hence its name, which was a sort of Chamber of Commerce of the time. It was the only house in the world, who had the privilege of living and dead after Simon Bolivar, and rest your body burning chamber in the Hall's second floor. In the news the Customs House Museum hosts the Tayrona Gold, which is a regional museum of the Central Bank where you can see a collection of jewelry made by the Tayrona Indians and everything related to the culture of that wonderful breed, ancient inhabitants of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
