PRAYER AND REFLECTION
Third Sunday of Advent December 16, 2007 Read Mt. 11:2-11 Patience….. We all know that if our friends didn’t have the gift of patience when dealing with us, we wouldn’t have many friend left….. The purposes of God often develop slowly – more slowly than we would wish….. We might complain: “The trouble is that I’m in a hurry, but God isn’t!”…. Losing Faith in Jesus… “Happy is the man who does not lose faith in me.”…… As we move through this season of Advent, perhaps we could look more closely at our lives, and ask the Lord to help us especially in those areas where we are about to give up. Unhealthy Waiting….. Some people get very impatient because they judge that they have been waiting too long. Then they decide that it’s foolish to wait any longer, and so give up hope. Healthy, Holy Waiting…. Perhaps the very season of Advent gives us a clue to the answer. Advent is a time of longing and waiting. We have the assurance of Christ himself that he will see us through to the end. PRAYER:
God of justice, upon your holy mountain is the peace for which the world longs. Hear our prayer for all who thirst for justice and lead us one day to the peace that never ends. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Give Thanks!

HOLY FAMILY PARISH THIRD SUNDAY OF ADVENT
Preparai o caminho do Senhor!”
3º Dom Advento (Ano A) – Is 40, 1-5 .9-11; Sl 84 (85); 2Pd 3, 8-14; Mc 1, 1-8
“Anunciamos Senhor a vossa morte, proclamamos a vossa ressurreição” e suplicamos: “Vinde, Senhor Jesus”.
