...But i’m not sureif we have

enough time?

AHHH, tell us!!tell us!!

All right, I will tell youa parable that

Jesus told

But we’ll need touse our

imagination, ok?

ok!

sure!

The Bible tells us a story about

someone who didn’twant to accept the

previleges ofbeing a son.

A Certain man had two sons and the youngest one said to their Father:

Dad, I don’t want to wait for my inheritance

I want it Now.

So the father divided the inheritance between his two sons.

8

Page 9: Filho Pródigo #1 INGLÊS

Boys, this young manDid not want tobe called a son

anymore.

Why ?

Because he thought that having his inheritance money would make him HAPPIER than staying in his father’s house, where he has more than enough.

Here we have a lesson: “An inheritance ob-

tained early in life is not a blessing in the

end.”

Proverbs 20:21.

9

Page 10: Filho Pródigo #1 INGLÊS

A couple of days later, the youngest son receivedhis inheritance and moved to a distant country.there he lived a life full of sin and wasted allof his inheritance.

Oh Biga, take it easy. The Kid just wanted to do it

his own way, it’ll all work out.

don’t think so, He is walking awayfrom his family and

his home. that’s never a Good Thing.

He lost everything?!

Yes, and he had more thanall of our money combined.

Glup!

Woah!

10

Page 11: Filho Pródigo #1 INGLÊS

But he can justfind a job right?!

We’ll see... the countrywas going through an

economic crisis.

Eww, that food looks nasty, poor pigs!

Just Wait and see!

Is he Gonna dowhat I think he’s

gonna do?

So he asked one of the locals for help. And he was given the job of FEEDING pigs.

11

Page 12: Filho Pródigo #1 INGLÊS

Are you seeing what i’m seeing?

I promise you that I willnever complain aboutauntie’s food again !

Wait a minute, he THOUGHT...

All of my father’s workers have more than

enough food to eat.And Here I am starving!

But what happensnext is really cool.

Boys, there’s no safer placeto be than close to your father, listening to his

words.

Yeah, It’s true! So,what does he do?

12

Page 13: Filho Pródigo #1 INGLÊS

He goes back to a special place ...

And we havejust learned

anoter lesson:

...where he never should have left.

“When you try to do something that God

has promised you, but you don’t wait for

God’s timing...

...You will loose what you already have

13

Page 14: Filho Pródigo #1 INGLÊS

Guga, Do you know?why Jesus asked

Peter tree times ifHe really Loved

him ?

No why?

He is lucky he recognized his mistake, right dad?

father!

My son!

Because when you love your father, you love and respect everything that is loved by your father. The prodigal son didn’t love or re-spect his father’s inheritance.

He was still far away when his fatherspotted him.

14

Page 15: Filho Pródigo #1 INGLÊS

He was probably so stinky! I bet his father asked him to go take a shower before hugging

him!

And he was probably very

upset too.

You don’t see the father ask-ing his son to go wash himself first, and he wasn’t even mad..

With all the love in his heart, he ran towards his son and gave him a big hug.

15

Page 16: Filho Pródigo #1 INGLÊS

In fact, the Father said to his servants, “Hurry and bring my son the best clothes we have, put a ring on his finger, and sandals on his feet.”

In fact, the Father said

to his servants, “Hurry and bring my son the best clothes we have, put a ring on

his finger, andsandals on his

feet.” .

This parable is for the children of God who have left their Father’s path because of pride and

selfishness.

“Your talent Doesn’t necessarily guarantee

you authority.”

16

Watching this scene, I see that what the son was looking for in the world, God actually gave to him at home.

Page 17: Filho Pródigo #1 INGLÊS

Look, that ring represents authority and it was given to him as a gift from his father. In the

same way, the best gifts, reputation and author-ity are given to us by God.

The son wanted to prove to himself that he could be successful and be a good person on his own, but he couldn’t. And just like his father clothed his son with the finest

robe, God clothes us with Himself and gives us righteousness that we could never

obtain on our own.

There is something else, Guga. Every person needs to have disci-pline and boundaries in order to grow up. For the prodigal son, it was easier to run away than to

be under the discipline and boundaries of his father.

Now we need to go to another special place.

Let’s compare two kids. One has boundaries and the other does whatever they

want.

17

Page 18: Filho Pródigo #1 INGLÊS

Our city is proud of you!

Skateboarding World Champion

KEVIN In the future, the one who has discipline and lives in under the boundaries that his parents have provided

for him will be blessed and will prosper in whatever

he does. .

The other one will most likely make bad choices,

because he will choose to not accept the boundaries

set by his parents, his teachers, his girlfriend,

and so on…

Dear ones, our life is made of opportunities.

And happy is the person who takes

advantage of them for his own

growth.

“Our life is made of opportunities and

happy is the person who SEIZE them to his

own growth.”

18

Page 19: Filho Pródigo #1 INGLÊS

I don’t know what to say. I regret what I did. I don’t want to lose the benefits of being my father’s son and living

under his protection

Praise the Lord! You guys understood the message. Can I hear

an “amen”?

amen!!!

Biga, you told us that we were going to a special place. Are we close?

No, we are already

here!

Awesome, Biga!

19

Page 20: Filho Pródigo #1 INGLÊS

It’s my house!!!

Thank you so much, Biga !

No worries. God bless you and your

family.

Bye, Biga. Bye, Luka. If God wills, someday I will be a Skateboarding World

Champion and I promise to get you a real autographed

skateboard.

20

Page 21: Filho Pródigo #1 INGLÊS

My dear one, Did you notice that the prodigal son goes to a distant

land, far away from the authority of his father

and anyone who could set limits with him?

Dad? Mom?

Son?

Son, we were so worried about you!

I love you!

At church we are a family too. There are sons here, with incredible callings. Sons who will grow up one day and play an important role in life.

Despite what some may think, your leaders at church don’t want to control your life or take away all of your fun. They want to help you live the right way, and walk the right path.

You need to understand something:

21

Page 22: Filho Pródigo #1 INGLÊS

Igrejaem Jesus

And nothing makes these leaders HAPPIER than HELPING people who have come back to God after having been far away from Him. But they can’t make the decision for you. Only you can make the decision to come back to God. Remember that the father ran toward his son after he saw his son coming back to him.

Friend, maybe you’re like the prodigal son. Maybe you’ve been walking down the wrong path, and now you feel ashamed to come back home to God and to church.

I want you to know that Jesus is not here to judge you, and neither is the church.

Jesus said : “Healthy people don’t need a doctor -- sick people do. I have not come for the people who think they are righteous, but for the ones who know they are sinners.”

God wants to put a ring on your finger. He wants to hug you, give you joy, and restore

your life.Welcome, brother!

“We are here to help, not to judge”.

22

Page 23: Filho Pródigo #1 INGLÊS

Igrejaem Jesus

How nice it is to see a family that has been

restored, dad!

There’s no safer place to be than

close to your father, listening to his

words.

Can I hear an “amen” again?

amen!

amen!

The end.

23

Page 24: Filho Pródigo #1 INGLÊS

My dear one,

this magazine did not come to you by accident!God has never forgotten you, nor has He forgot-ten everything He promised you!But you must return to the place that you never should have left. If you agree that you want to return to the lov-ing arms of God your Father, just pray along with me:

“Lord Jesus, I turn away from my mistakes and all the wrong things I have been doing. I turn to you, the Son of God. You came into this world so I could be rescued from my sin. You lived a perfect life. You died for my sins. You were buried in a tomb, and then you rose from the dead!Right now, I give myself to you. “Restore me and renew my life. And please help me, from this day forward, to never run away from you again.”

“In the name of Jesus. Amen.”
