Abstract

In this a r t i c l e , the writers estimated some parameters of demand for food using the system of equations. By using Almost I d e a l D e m a n d System (AIDS), they concluded that the f a r m i n g system and the class o f expen­diture related to the consumption pattern.

The writers showed that prices and consumption elasticity of rice, second crop (palawija) and, meat and fish a r e lower t h a n vegetables, f r u i t s and other food. They also showed that food consumption is more sensitive to the changes o f rice price t h a n other foods.
