Amei na Terra/ Loved on Earth

Mais um dia vazio na casa. Revirei gavetas atrás de alguma coisa que eu não sabia o que era. Sentei na ca-deira dele. Tentei ver o que ele via. Senti o peso. Medi o esforço. Tomei fôlego. Mergulhei com ele na piscina. Brigamos, rimos e bebemos juntos. Espalhamos água pelo jardim, e vimos minha mãe batendo palmas, sen-tada no canto da varanda. Depois da chuva, sentimos

com mais força o cheiro da grama.

One more empty day in the house. I look in drawers searching for something that I did not know what it was. I set on his chair. I tried to see what he saw. I felt the weight. I measured the effort. I took a deep breath. I dove with it in the swimming pool. We fought, we laughed and we drank together. We spread water all over the garden, and saw my mother clapping her hands, seated on the corner of the poarch. After the rain, we can better enjoy

the scent of the grass.
