Um recorte da abstração em nosso continente. Junto ao importante legado do concretismo e neoconcretismo brasileiros, são apresentadas as poéticas abstratas que prosperaram em outros países a partir dos anos 1930. Este diálogo coloca em perspectiva as particularidades e contribuições do Brasil às experiências geométricas como parte de um contexto regional.

Pensada especialmente para o Brasil, a exposição presta uma sutil homenagem à mostra Arte Agora III, América Latina: Geometria Sensível , destruída num trágico incêndio em 1978, quando ocupava o MAM do Rio de Janeiro. Muitos artistas apresentados naquela histórica ocasião estão presentes aqui, como representação das tendências pioneiras na região, agora junto a artistas contemporâneos que apontam para os rumos da abstração hoje.

Um circo-teatro viaja pelo sertão da Paraíba. O circo pertence a Mademoiselle Sultana, astróloga, bailarina, clarividente, consultora tântrica e microempresária. A principal atração é o seu grupo de jovens artistas, que encenam números de malabarismo, quadros, esquetes e entremezes de grande sucesso junto ao público do sertão seguindo à Taperoá, onde encenarão um espetáculo em homenagem a Ariano Suassuna.

Boca de Ouro é um personagem suburbano que, traumatizado pela sua origem desconhecida, quer se afirmar como figura mítica. Na busca pelo poder, ele mergulha no submundo do crime e passa a ser conhecido como o Drácula de Madureira. Na cena, símbolos da cultura pop dialogam com as três versões da história contadas por D. Guigui, ex-amante do bicheiro.

Narrativa de três irmãs separadas pela vida, que são obrigadas a se reunir para enfrentar a morte iminente de sua mãe. Teresa, a mais velha, uma freira que se isolou da família em um retiro religioso. E Agnes, a irmã do meio, uma atriz falida que deixou sua cidade natal. Neste reencontro, as três vão acabar revendo seus valores, crenças e diferenças em busca da possível reconstrução de uma célula familiar há muito tempo fragmentada.

Esta história se passa em um vilarejo onde os animais desapareceram. Algo aconteceu no passado que provocou a fuga dos bichos e ninguém gosta de tocar no assunto.

Ali vivem os colegas Santi, Clara e Luna, que, depois de sofrer bullying, também desaparece. Desconfiados de que Luna teria sido raptada pelo Espírito do “não-sei-o-quê” do bosque, Santi e Clara partem para a floresta em busca da amiga.

O espetáculo é a primeira incursão do Grupo XIX de Teatro no universo infantojuvenil.

Do compositor barroco Jean-Baptiste Lully ao romantismo humanista de Ludwig van Beethoven, vamos ilustrar, por meio de 05 obras, 150 anos de história da música, mostrando as diferenças e principais características dos períodos Barroco, Clássico e Romântico. No repertório, além de Lully e Beethoven, músicas de Antonio Vivaldi, Carl Philipp E. Bach e Joseph Haydn.

Série de shows que celebra quatro décadas do lançamento de quatro importantes álbuns: Espelho Cristalino, de Alceu Valença; Carmo, de Egberto Gismonti; Tiro de Misericórdia, de João Bosco; e Maria Fumaça, da Banda Black Rio. Os shows promovem releituras inéditas destes quatro discos, feitas por importantes nomes da cena musical contemporânea.

Máquina Pública – um brinquedo coletivo. Uma grande mesa inclinada é a base e a fonte de energia para a montagem de uma escultura cinética coletiva. Inspirado nas tradicionais máquinas de bolinhas de gude “marble machines”, este brinquedo será construído pelo público visitante que, usando da gravidade e de um sistema de construção modular, poderá intervir e colaborar nos caminhos e ciclos das esferas.

A theater circus travels through the hinterlands of Paraíba. The circus is owned by Mademoiselle Sultana, an astrologer, dancer, clairvoyant, tantric consultant, and small-scale entrepreneur. The main attraction is her group of young artists, who juggle, draw, and perform in acts that are very appreciated by the public of the hinterlands as the ensemble travels to Taperoá, where they will stage a show in honor of Ariano Suassuna.

A portrait of abstractionism in our continent. Along with the important legacy of Brazilian concretism and neoconcretism, the exhibition presents the abstract poetics that have flourished in other countries since the 1930s. This dialogue puts in perspective the particularities and contributions of Brazil to the geometric experiences in a regional context.

Created especially for Brazil, the exhibition pays a subtle tribute to the Arte Agora III, América Latina: Geometria Sensível exhibition, which was

destroyed in a tragic fire at the Rio de Janeiro MAM in 1978. As a representation of the pioneering trends in the region, several artists featured on that historic occasion are represented in the present exhibition, together with contemporary artists that point to the directions of present-day abstractionism.

It’s a narrative of three sisters separated by life, who are forced to meet due to the imminent death of their mother. Louise is the youngest. She’s in love with a TV series and hardly interested in any conversation outside the virtual world. Teresa,the eldest, is a nun who isolated herself from the family in a religious retreat. And Agnes, the middle sister, is a bankrupt actress who left her hometown.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

Series of shows that celebrate four decades of the release of four important albums: Espelho Cristalino, by Alceu Valença; Carmo, by Egberto Gismonti; Tiro de Misericórda by João Bosco; and Maria Fumaça, from the Black Rio Band. The shows promote unreleased re-readings of these four albums, made by important names in the contemporary music scene.

The project also offers Hugo Sukman’ lecture, The MPB of the 1970’s: a bridge tothe future, franchised to the public.

November 15 – Carmo, with André Mehmari (piano) and participation of Antônio Loureiro (voice).Free lecture with Hugo Sukman, at 3pm. November 16 – Tiro de Misericórdia, with Verônica Ferriani, accompanied by Swami Jr (seven-string guitar) and Marcos Suzano (percussion).

Scheduled Educational Tours Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays

Educators lead scheduled and inclusive tours with school and non-school groups, aiming to create a space for dialogues, as well as exchanges of experiences and knowledge, together with artistic, cultural, and social practices addressed by the CCBB exhibits. The visits are offered in three shifts (mornings, afternoons, and evenings), aiming to welcome students with diverse social and educational contexts.At the time of the appointment, you can choose among the following options: tour + workshop, tour to the exhibition, or heritage tour. On Fridays, at 2:30 pm, there are guided tours in Brazilian Sign Language, exclusive for scheduled groups.Duration: 60 or 90 minutes. Booking: [email protected]

Guided Tours Wednesdays through Mondays – 11 am and 6 pm

During these tours, the educators join the public to dialogue, share and exchange visions, readings, and the creation of meaning around the productions, practices, and poetics of Latin American artists featured in the exhibition Sensitive Constructions.

Brazilian Sign Language Handshape Game

Sundays – 4 pmAn educational picture game developed through a systemic, integral, and innovative approach to design. It is a fun method for learning Brazilian Sign Language, promoting the inclusion of deaf individuals. The Brazilian Sign Language Handshape Game is an invitation for you to practice empathy, to leave your comfort zone, and to discover another way to communicate, listening with your eyes and speaking with your hands!

Guided Tours in Brazilian Sign Language Thursdays and Sundays – 6 pm

Following the same principles of the guided tour, the Brazilian Sign Language tour welcomes people who are deaf and/ or hard of hearing in a shared experience with the educators through the exhibition Sensitive Constructions.

Every weekend, the CCBB educators develop a special program for children and their families to occupy, coexist, create, and dialog with art. It is also a space that welcomes artists and educators to join our team and develop proposals that integrate adults and children into processes that help them experience art.

Public Machine - a collective toy. A large tilted table is the base and source of energy for the assembly of a collective kinetic sculpture. Inspired by traditional marble machines, this toy will be built by the visiting public who, using gravity and a modular construction system, will be able to intervene with and collaborate to the paths and cycles of the spheres.Place of special creation with Daniel Herthel, who is an artist with creations in scenography, animation, sound experimentation and object design.Now Speaking... A course for teachers and educators, which addresses topics that are transversal to the fields of education and art, connecting the issues presented in the exhibitions with the daily urgencies and reflections. Its themes include artistic and social practices, memory, and the production of subjectivities, territories, and heritages. It will be taught by professionals from different areas. The sessions are interpreted in Brazilian Sign Language.In a dialogue with the exhibition Sensitive Constructions, this edition features Gabriela Guerra, visual artist and educator and Gil Amâncio, multiple artist, teacher and producer.
