Exposição retrospectiva de Basquiat (1960-1988), inédita no país, com mais de 80 quadros, desenhos e gravuras. O artista desenvolveu um estilo novo e expressivo e tornou-se um dos destaques da retomada da pintura fi gurativa na década de 1980. Sua obra personifi ca o caráter de Nova York nos anos 1970 e 1980, quando a mistura de empolgação e decadência criou um paraíso de criatividade.

Serão três grandes shows dirigidos e regidos por Gaia Wilmer, com participação de André Mehmari, Gabriel Grossi, Jaques Morelenbaum, Mauro Senise, Ricardo Herz, Yamandu Costa e do próprio Egberto. Figura ativa na capital mineira, o jovem trombonista João Machala se apresenta na série de shows dos vencedores do 18º Prêmio BDMG Instrumental. Ele interpretará o repertório premiado ao lado do convidado especial Raul de Souza, consagrado compositor, arranjador e trombonista brasileiro.

A Orquestra OPUS homenageia Michael Jackson, o Rei do Pop. O espetáculo trará suas principais canções desde quando era integrante do Jackson 5 até os últimos momentos de sua vida, passando pelas românticas até as mais agitadas.

A Orquestra propõe uma leitura instrumental inédita para homenagear o artista, que completaria 60 anos no dia do espetáculo.

A programação dialoga com as exposições do Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil. Destina-se a todos os públicos com ações inclusivas e afirmativas para estreitar as relações com a comunidade escolar, educadores, pessoas com deficiência, famílias, organizações não governamentais, artistas, movimentos sociais e profissionais dos campos da arte, cultura e interessados.

For the first time in its ten years of history, the Soccer Museum (one of the most visited museums in the country) will bring a part of the experience that has already enchanted over three million people beyond the limits of the state of São Paulo.

The traveling exhibition Soccer Museum in the Area arrives in Belo Horizonte, after visiting Recife and Rio de Janeiro. This interactive exhibit features a wide content, presenting the history of our soccer to the fans from Minas Gerais.

WEDDING PLAY

A never-before-seen retrospective exhibition of Basquiat (1960-1988) featuring over 80 paintings, drawings, and engravings. The artist developed a new and expressive style, and became an influential name in figurative painting in the 1980s. Jean-Michel Basquiat’s work embodies the soul of the New York from the 1970s and 1980s, when a combination of excitement and decadence created a haven of creativity.

Window of Dramaturgy is a contemporary playwright exhibit that has been held in Belo Horizonte since 2012. Once a month (from August to December), the event presents a reading of unpublished theatrical texts of national and international authors.

The opening of its 6th edition, at CCBB Belo Horizonte, will also feature a drama workshop, a roundtable, and a lecture with guest foreign playwright.

A tribute to the multi-instrumentalist, composer, and arranger Egberto Gismonti on his 70th birthday.

There will be three great concerts directed and conducted by Gaia Wilmer, with André Mehmari, Gabriel Grossi, Jaques Morelenbaum, Mauro Senise, Ricardo Herz, Yamandu Costa, and Egberto himself. Each evening, the Gaia Wilmer Big Band – composed of 19 instrumentalists from different generations and regions of Brazil – and their guests perform unprecedented arrangements for compositions by Egberto.

August 3: Gaia Wilmer Big Band invites Jaques

An active figure in Belo Horizonte, the young trombonist João Machala will perform this month in the series of concerts by the winners of the 18th BDMG Instrumental Award. He will play his award-winning repertoire, alongside Raul de Souza, a renowned Brazilian composer, arranger, and trombonist.

Breno Mendonça, Felipe Vilas Boas, Igor Neves, Aloízio Horta, and Gabriel Buce complete the band.

The OPUS Orchestra honors Michael Jackson, the King of Pop. The concert will feature his main hits, from the Jackson 5 era to his last productions, encompassing both romantic ballads and lively songs.

The Orchestra proposes an instrumental reading to honor the artist, who would turn 60 on the day of the concert.

Educators lead scheduled and inclusive visits with school and non-school groups, aiming to create a space for dialogues, as well as exchanges of experiences and knowledge, together with artistic, cultural, and social practices addressed by the CCBB exhibits.

The visits are offered in three shifts (mornings, afternoons, and evenings), aiming to welcome the students and their diverse social and educational contexts. Multiple Ancestor

Aesthetic Afrofuturism, outskirts culture, rap, and Battle of Tags.

Multiple Ancestor is a platform of exchanges between the audience and masters linked to different knowledge and cultural practices, combining memory, affection, and heritage.

This edition will feature artistic and cultural manifestations of avant-garde African diaspora with Batekoo and Classic’s Hip Hop.

Shared Processes


A training course for artists, educators, critics, curators, and other professionals in the field of art and cultural production that covers design, production, and expography aspects, and reflects on the specificities of an exhibition. The production of the exhibits will be used as a powerful space for professional training in which issues such as lighting, signs, graphics, design, and educational activities will be highlighted.
