• The present analysis was prepared based on occurrences of Theft from Commercial Establishment, Theft from

Residence, Car theft, Mugging, Carjacking, Classic Kidnapping, Flash Kidnapping, Robbery and murder and Rape,

registered of 17th AISP (37th DP) in the period of May of 2010 to April of 2012.

• Ilha do Governador

• The presented region had a significant increase of 193,33% in the incidences of Flash Kidnapping, 69,44% in the records of

Rape and 57,36% in the occurrences of Car Theft. The other offences presented reduction between 19,06% to 50,00%.

• Based on presented data we elaborated a ranking of offences according to the intensity of the incidences in the

Region.

1st Place – Mugging

With 703 occurrences in the 1st period and 569 in the 2nd period, representing a reduction of 19,06%.

2nd Place – Carjacking

With 197 occurrences in the 1st period and 310 in the 2nd period, representing an increase of 57,36%.

3rd Place – Car Theft

With 279 occurrences in the 1st period and 182 in the 2nd period, representing a reduction of 34,77%.

4th Place – Rape

With 36 occurrences in the 1st period and 61 in the 2nd period, representing an increase of 69,44%.

5th Place – Theft from Commercial Establishment

With 52 occurrences in the 1st period and 42 in the 2nd period, representing a reduction of 19,23%.

6th Place –Flash Kidnapping

With 15 occurrences in the 1st period and 44 in the 2nd period, representing an increase of 193,33%.

7th Place – Theft from Residence

With 28 occurrences in the 1st period and 15 in the 2nd period, representing a reduction of 46,43%.

8th Place – Robbery and Murder

With 2 occurrences in the 1st period and 1 in the 2nd period, representing a reduction of 50,00%.

9th Place – Classic Kidnapping

There were no occurrences in the analysed periods.

FLASH KIDNAPPING

According to materials released by the midia this criminal modality has stood out in Ilha do

Fundão, mainly in the mediations of Cidade Universitária. The statistics released by the Institute of Public Security (ISP)

confirm the increase, since in the period between may/2010 and april/2012 were registred 59 cases, 15 in the 1st period

(may/2010 to april/2011) and 44 in the 2nd period (may/2011 to april/2012), representing an increase of 193,33%.
