Go to specic pages using thumbnail images. Go to specic pages using hyperlinks situated on the table of content and all index pages. Click page numbers on lists.
Click green numbers of items located on referents or on tables to get more information and... ...dont miss notations.
Go to specic points of interetest using bookmarks. Jump between chapter cover pages using Jump
Bars.
Jump Bars are located on the cover pages of each
chapter, with colours and letters to represent them.
When you click on a button, you will jump
to the cover page of the chosen chapter.
This can be an alternative way to access particular
chapters and to toggle between them.
The Jump bar is also equipped with Tooltips, that
appear when you stop your mouse for a moment,

units, as the glazing spacer is positioned further into the unit, creating a continuous
recess between the inner and outer panes around the unit, allowing the inner pane
to be mechanically xed.
The outer pane is structurally sealed to the inner pane using a load bearing sealant.
Beside this, it is a conventional insulated glass unit and therefore the glass production
guidelines are applicable.
Mechanical xing takes place by means of pair of continuous aluminium clamping pro-
les, each tted with a glazing gasket. These are screwed into the mullion and transom
nosing, securing the inner pane of the insulated unit directly to the curtain wall grid.
The thickness of the glass depends on:
dynamic wind pressure
glass characteristics, dimensions and locations
Before installation, please ensure the glass type and thickness complies with anyregulatory requirement or standards. Your glazing supplier will be able to assist in
determining the correct glass for your needs.
For the load-bearing insulating glass seal, UV resistant products such as Dow
Corning DC3362, SIKASIL IG-25 (or similar) must be used. The width of the silicone
bonding is at least 16 mm. The production requirements for respective silicone sealant
manufacturer must be carefully respected to by the glass unit manufacturer, including
the pre-treatment of contact surfaces.
For the optimum aesthetic we recommended the use of black glazing spacers. We also
recommend the perimeter edges of the external panes to be arised to create a clean
and crisp appearance.
The internal glazing gasket may vary, depending on the thickness of the internal glass
pane. They must be cut over length by approximately 2% to allow for shrinkage, and
be cut at 90 and sealed together using butyl mastic.
