CHARISMATIC PRAYER GROUP The Charismatic Prayer Group meets every Tuesday at 6:30pm in the parish hall conference room.
What is a Charismatic Prayer Meeting?
A “Charismatic Prayer Meeting” is a weekly gather-ing of Christians to give praise, thanks, honor, and love to Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. It’s a time we gather in community, to praise God on a one toned basis, as the Holy Spirit moves us.
A prayer meeting is not a discussion club, a therapy session, or a time for counseling. We come to give our full attention to Jesus through the help of the Holy Spirit.

TORNADO RELIEF The Foundations UMCOR and Inspiritus have identified 10-12 major projects remaining for those who suffered during the Tornado. They do not have the funding to complete all of the projects and need matching funds from the community for approximately $40,000.00. We at St. Thomas Aquinas have approximately $1,400 availa-ble and the funds raised from the Parish would go to helping meet this need.
The other churches are also looking for ways to raise money as is the community as a whole. The two mobile home foundations that we helped with were in conjunction with the Inspiritus Foundation. They paid $11,200.00 and St. Thomas paid $10,000.
To date we have helped 9 families.
MEN OF THE CROSS All Catholic men are invited to join us for “Men of the Cross”, a spiritual retreat, sponsored by the Tennessee Knights of Columbus, that will light your heart on fire and elevate your faith the new heights! This retreat will be broadcast live from the Catholic Center in Nashville to St Thomas Aquinas Parish Hall January 9th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Featured speakers will be Bishop Mark Spalding, Pat-rick Kelly (future Supreme Knight), Dr. Jonathan Reyes, Dr. Tim Gray of the Augustine Institute, Jared Zimmerer, Fr. The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated once a month on the second Saturday of the month at 2pm in English. The dates for the Baptism of children and for the Pre-Baptismal instruction of parents should be arranged in the parish office one month in advance. This is one option of marriage preparation offered by the Diocese of Nashville; the couples must still meet with the Priest in their parish. BAPTISMS: Please contact the parish office at least 1 month before the intended date to receive information about the paperwork and classes. Baptisms are generally celebrated on the 2nd Saturday of the month - 11am in Spanish - 2pm in English. Other dates are to be arranged with the office.
1ST. COMMUNION - CONFIRMATIONS - RCIA/RCIC: Please contact Val Richardson our Director of Religious Educa-tion. WEDDINGS: Please contact the parish office at least 4 months before the intended date (ideally it would be better to contact the office six(6) months to one(1) year prior. ANNOINTING OF THE SICK: (WE DON'T CALL IT "Last Rites" ANY LONGER): Please DO NOT wait until the person is unresponsive. Arrange a visit with a priest as soon as the person’s health starts to decline. As for regular weekly communion for parishioners who are sick and/or home bound we have a small group of Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion who can visit them regularly. THIS MINISTRY IS SUSPENDED TEMPO-RALLY DUE TO COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS. FUNERAL SERVICES : Funeral services are designed to meet the needs of the family and every attempt is made to accommodate the family’s requests. The church office, and Pastor will speak with the family regarding the procedure and necessary items. Please do not final-ize your service date and time without initially speaking with the church office. This will allow the church office to check the availability of the Pastor and Church. QUIENCEAÑERAS: Please contact the parish office 6 months before the intended date, to receive paperwork and start classes. Generally this is celebrated on the last Saturday of the month.
