PROGRAMA
OBJETIVOS
Discutir as principais questões de formulação, implementação, organização e gestão de estratégias
competitivas e de suas implicações no contexto de operações.
Inserir a questão da dinâmica das operações em termos da carteira de projetos derivada da
estratégia competitiva.
Discutir capacitação, inovação suas relações com a competitividade das operações.
Fornecer referencial e ferramental conceitual para avaliar a factibilidade e a sustentabilidade de
estratégias competitivas no contexto de operações.
Fornecer elementos de planejamento e de gestão competitiva da carteira de projetos para
integração e transformação operacional exigida pela estratégia competitiva.
Estudar casos de estratégias competitivas no contexto de operações.
Discutir tendências futuras de estratégias competitivas no contexto de operações.
JUSTIFICATIVA
A transformação dos intentos estratégicos e das proposições de valor competitivo de uma organização em objetivos de desempenho e em resultados operacionais é um desafio para qualquer organização, independentemente de sua estrutura, cultura, tecnologia, ambiente ou mesmo grau de desenvolvimento.
Embora seja uma tarefa de todos da organização, alinhar recursos – quaisquer que sejam – a resultados estratégicos perseguidos ou tornar congruentes processos internos de negócios à demanda de clientes e demais stakeholders são tarefas que dependem em última estância das operações. De qualquer forma, resultados competitivos organizacionais estão condicionados à forma como os recursos são configurados e dimensionados, à maneira como são ordenados em processos para agregar valor em produtos e serviços e, principalmente à capacidade de como são geridos e operados.
Todavia, esta visão tradicional de operações intra-organizacionais precisa incorporar uma visão dinâmica das operações, com produtos, processos e organização continuamente se alterando vis-a-vis mudanças na rede de suprimentoa fortemente articuladas pelo avanço tecnológico, pela competição, pelas restrições ambientais e pelas inovações em modelos de negócios. Fator critico deste processo dinâmico é a definição concreta dos rumos estratégicos através da seleção e gestão de uma carteira de projetos.
Estudar, pesquisar e formular estratégias factíveis e sustentáveis sob o ponto de vista operacional é objeto de estratégias em operações tanto quanto avaliar e encontrar alternativas operacionais de implementação e gestão de estratégias no contexto de operações com base na identificação, seleção e gestão de projetos críticos para a competifvidade e sustentabilidade organizacional.

Ler os capítulos correspondentes dos livros adotados como texto. Preparar seminários sobre os textos (capítulos de livro e artigos) atribuídos.
2. Trabalho da disciplina – um artigo para publicação.
O texto final deve ser na forma de artigo para apresentação para publicação em periódico acadêmico.
O artigo pode ser individual ou em grupo de 2 alunos. Os termos de referência dos artigos são discutidos em todas as aulas na última 1/2
hora, dependendo do estágio de avanço de cada um. A apresentação e orientação fnal dos artigos é feita na aula 14.
