Uso
Fala de uma ação que já ocorreu, ou seja, algo finalizado, acabado.
We worked last night.
(Nós trabalhamos noite passado.)

Forma 1
O passado simples tem a seguinte forma:
Verbos Regulares: são aqueles que preservam a forma do infinitivo apenas com o acréscimo do sufixo -ed no final:
work worked
play played

Forma 2
Existem alguns verbos que não seguem a regra anterior, são o verbos irregulares, pois a sua forma sofre ou não alguma alteração no passado:
be was / were
have had
do did

Forma 3
Tanto os verbos regulares quanto irregulares usam o auxiliar did, na forma negativa e interrogativa para todas a pessoas:
The car stopped at the traffic light.The car did not stop at the traffic light.
I worked yesterday.Did you work yesterday?
Apenas o verbo to be não usa auxiliar:I was at home last night.I was not at home last night.
You were at school yesterday.Were you at school yesterday?

Particípios
Temos dois tipos de particípios em Inglês, os dos verbos regulares e o dos verbos irregulares;
O particípio dos verbos regulares é simples é a mesma forma do passado:
I repaired my computer last week. (passado)
I have repaired my computer.

Forma Negativa e Interrogativa
Na forma negativa no presente perfeito, apenas acrescentamos o not depois do verbo auxiliar:
He has worked with this kind of program before. (Afirmativo)
He has not worked with this kind of program before.
Já na forma Interrogativa, invertemos o verbo auxiliar com o sujeito para formular perguntas:
I have printed the document. (Afirmativo)
Have you printed the document?

Complete as frases usando os verbos no passado simples ou no presente perfeito:

Agora passe as frases abaixo para a forma Negativa:
Lúcia played video games with Beto yesterday.
Microsoft released a new Widows version last year.
The children used the computer by themselves last night.
Mauro learned English at school. We have studied Spanish yet.
