Context.The Cabo is a traditional polo in ceramic production which yearned for new types of manufacturing and surface finish. The Imaginario Lab has served defining strategies for strengthening the craftsmanship, creative process and improvements in beneficiation, modeling, enameling and burning. In 2008, was inaugurated the Craft Center Wilson Campos de Queiroz Junior.

The project.Aims to modernize and expand the Craft Centre with investment in technological innovation of products and processes, organizing management model and training of human resources, with articulated actions of research and extension to enlarge the income generation and job opportunity, aimed at environmental and social sustainability.

• Solidarity actions in performing the activities of the Center and troubleshooting;

• Inclusion of people with special needs (mental and visual);

Social Interactions and Relations

The clay is extracted from the reservoir administered by Industrial Port Complex of Suape with oversight of CPRH - State Agency for Environment and Water Resources of Pernambuco;

Searches with the mixture of natural clay to scrap ceramic industries have gains in the environmental, economic and technical areas;

Gas oven avoids the use of wood burning in while preserving the Atlantic rain forest reserves and decreasing the contamination at the site;

The new raw material broadens the typology of vitrified products and expand the market access opportunities.

• Methods who value the comprehension and the look of artisans, their place and context;

• Introduction of concepts on form perception and the product quality;

• Magnifying visual repertoire: site visits, exhibitions and fairs;
