CAMARA DE CALEFACCIONKCE fabrica Cámaras de Calefacción totalmente en Inoxidable, conconexiones roscadas (BSP) o bridadas, preparadas para ser adaptadasa válvulas de Acero al Carbono o Inoxidable, tantoen Norma DIN como ANSI. La estanqueidad de lacámara es comprobada hidráulicamente a unmínimo de 10 bar de presión. La estanqueidad dela válvula es probada según Norma, antes y des-pués de ser soldada la cámara (doble prueba).

STEAM JACKETKCE manufactures fully Stainless Steel Steam Jackets, with screwed(BSP) or flanged ends. They have been designed to be adapted to

Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel valves, both inDIN and ANSI Standards. The water-tightness ofthe jacket is hydraulically checked at a 10-barpressure minimum. The water-tightness of thevalve is verified - according to the Standard -before and after the jacket is welded (double-check).

MANETA OVALADASiguiendo criterios de seguridad, es de uso habitual la colocación demanetas ovaladas en válvulas hasta DN40. Este sistema, por su dise-ño, permite evitar operaciones no intencionadas quepodrían causar accidentes.

EXTENSION DE EJE EN "T". (Ex/S)Para maniobrar fácilmente válvulas en instalacionescon tubería aislada o de difícil acceso, es de ampliautilización la extensión de eje en "T". KCE fabricaestas extensiones, totalmente en SS, con una lon-gitud estándar de 100 mm, o bajo demanda conlongitudes de 50 o 150 mm.

OVAL HAND WHEELFollowing safety criteria, it is common practice to fit valves up to

DN40 with oval hand wheels. This system, becauseof its design, prevents unintentional operations thatmight result in accidents.

"T"-STEM EXTENSION. (Ex/S)It enables the easy operation of valves an a setupwhere pipes are isolated or have a difficult access.KCE manufactures these extensions -fully in SS-with a standard length of 100 mm or, underrequest, with 50-mm or 150-mm lengths.

EXTENSIONES PARA BAJA TEMPERATURA. (Ex/B y Ex/Cry)Como regla general, en procesos con temperaturas bajo cero hasta–40ºC, no es necesario el uso de extensiones, o como mucho, se uti-liza la extensión Ex/S. A partir de –40ºC, se uti-lizan extensiones Ex/B (-40ºC a –80ºC) y Ex/Cry(-80ºC a –196ºC) que separan la zona del prensadel área "fría". La longitud varía según la tempe-ratura y el DN de la válvula, oscilando entre 100y 500 mm. El material de la extensión es comomínimo de la misma calidad que el cuerpo ycumple con ISO 5211.

LOW TEMPERATURE EXTENSIONS. (Ex/B & Ex/Cry)As a general rule, in processes with temperatures below 0ºC downto -40ºC, it is not necessary to use the extensions; what is used at

the most is the Ex/S extension. From -40ºCdownwards the extensions used are Ex/B (-40ºCdown to -80ºC) and Ex/Cry (-80ºC down to -196ºC) separating the packing area from the"cold" area. The length varies depending on tem-perature and the valve's DN, ranging between100 and 500 mm. The extension's material hasat least the same quality as the body and com-plies with ISO 5211.

VALVULAS LIBRES DE SILICONAVALVULAS DESENGRASADASEn procesos como pinturas o Servicios O2, se solicitan válvulas con una"limpieza especial". KCE presenta dos soluciones: válvulas Desengrasa-das, orientadas a Servicio O2 , y válvulas Libres deSilicona para el resto de aplicaciones. Ambos pro-cesos están cubiertos por Procedimientos deIngeniería de KCE y homologados por clientes fina-les, teniendo como objetivo eliminar la existencia degrasas y siliconas. A tal efecto, el producto es trata-do especialmente en "zonas limpias", prestandoespecial atención a sus componentes, manipula-ción, pruebas, secado y examen. Finalmente el pro-ducto se etiqueta, embala en bolsa hermética eidentifica, individualmente.

SILICON-FREE VALVESDEGREASED VALVESIn processes such as paints or O2 Services, valves are requested thatprovide a "special cleaning" feature. KCE offers two solutions: Degreased

valves for O2 Service and Silicon-Free valves for therest of applications. Both processes are covered byKCE's Engineering Procedures and are approved byend customers, the aim being to prevent the pre-sence of greases and silicones. For this purpose theproduct is specially treated in "clean areas", wherespecial attention is given to their components, han-dling, testing, drying and verification. Finally, theproduct is labelled, packed in a water-tight bag andindividually identified.

MATERIALES ESPECIALESEn algunas ocasiones, los fluidos de proceso y sus condiciones de tra-bajo, requieren una resistencia adicional que los materiales conven-cionales no pueden aportar. A tal efecto, KCEofrece la posibilidad de suministrar materialescomo Duplex, Superduplex, Monel, Alloy 20,Hasteloy C, LCC, CF3M (316L), CF8C entre unaamplia gama disponible, capaces de cumplir conel resultado esperado.

SPECIAL MATERIALSOn some occasions the process fluids and their working conditionsrequire an additional resistance which conventional materials can not

provide. To this end, KCE offers the possibility tosupply a wide range of materials such as Duplex,Superduplex, Monel, Alloy 20, Hasteloy C, LCC,CF3M (316L), CF8C that can meet the expectedrequirements.

ENCLAVAMIENTO POR CANDADOPor cuestiones de seguridad, puede ser requerido que sólo personasautorizadas puedan maniobrar las válvulas. LOCKING DEVICEOut of safety reasons the requirement may be laid down to only allowauthorized personnel to operate the valves. For this reason all KCE ball

valves can be supplied with a locking device, thisexecution being standard in most of them. Inaddition to the KCE's locking device design, otheralternatives put forward by the customer can bealso accepted.

DOBLE EMPAQUETADURA DE SEGURIDADEn algunos tipos de fluidos, altamente contaminantes o tóxicamentepeligrosos, se requiere una estanqueidad exterior garantizada, paraello, KCE aporta la solución de la "DobleEmpaquetadura". Este sistema consiste en dosgrupos independientes de cierre, con un detectorde fugas intermedio, el cual ha sido homologadopor los Clientes Finales más exigentes, con prue-bas de correcto funcionamiento hasta 433.000ciclos.

DOUBLE SAFETY PACKINGIn some types of highly polluting or toxically dangerous fluids, gua-ranteed external water-tightness is required. KCE provides to this end

the "Double Packing" solution. This system ismade up of two sealing independent groups, withan intermediate leak detector. KCE´s "DoublePacking" has been approved by our most deman-ding End Customers and tested for correct opera-tion in up to 433.000 cycles.

EMPAQUETADURA TIPO CHEVRON®

Siguiendo especificaciones marcadas por Clientes Finales, KCE ofre-ce como complemento a su cierre convencional, cierres con empa-quetadura tipo Chevron®, utilizando un mínimode 5 anillos en la zona del prensa. Esta es unavalorada alternativa al cierre habitual.PROLONGACION DE ASIENTOEn determinadas aplicaciones de líneas de pintu-ras, industria alimentaria, almacenaje de produc-tos, etc, se desea minimizar la presencia residuos,en la cavidad entre esfera y superficie interna dela válvula. Como solución a esta situación, KCE adapta a sus válvu-las asientos prolongados o "coquillas", hechos de PTFE virgen o concarga, reduciendo considerablemente el espacio libre de la cavidad.

CHEVRON® TYPE PACKINGBased on specifications set forth by End Customers, KCE offers, com-plementary to its conventional sealing, a system with Chevron®-type

packing using a minimum of 5 rings in the glandarea. This is a highly valued alternative to thestandard sealing.CAVITY FILLERFor certain applications related to paints, foodprocessing industry, product storage, etc. aneffort must be made to minimize the presence ofwaste matter in the cavity between the ball and

valve's internal surface. As a solution to this situation, KCE fits itsvalves with cavity fillers made up of unfilled/filled PTFE, thus consi-derably reducing the cavity's free space.

Limitaciones de Presión - Temperatura (P - T).En válvulas de esfera flotante con asientos blandos, los rangos P – T de funcionamiento no sólo se determinan por la resistencia delCuerpo de la Válvula, sino también por las limitaciones de sus Juntas y Asientos. Es difícil precisar el límite P – T exacto, debido ala infinidad de combinaciones entre fluidos y condiciones, por lo que los valores mostrados a continuación, son una aproximación ala realidad, basada en nuestra experiencia.

Pressure – Temperature (P – T) ratings.The P – T operating ratings in soft-seated floating ball valves are not only determined by the resistance of the Valve Body, but also bythe limitations of their Seals and Seats. It is difficult to pinpoint the accurate P – T limit because of the boundless number of com-binations between fluids and conditions. This is why the values that are shown below are an approximation to reality based on ourown past experience.
