Five Mus musculus have been used to investigate the effect of

(ginseng jawa) to the liver, kidney and intestine within `

of experimental.

So we carry out this experiment to see the side effects of Tanilum Paniculatum to the internal organs (intestine, kidney and liver) of Mus musculus.

Experiment applicable only to five Mus musculus.

only three leaves of TanilumPaniculatum used everyday.

In the green leaves of Talinum The Vitamin C

is about 160 mg per 100 gram

The Talinum show the phenomenally high content of vitamin C compared to guavas and sweet peppers.

It also probably has a considerable contents of carotenoid pigments.

Chemical content in Talinum paniculatumcomposed of

saponin,

flavanoid and

tanin.

Saponin - strengthen our body and

- improve blood circulation.

Saponin : can cause irritation in mucosa membrane, and can damage red blood cell through hemolysis

The root can be used to treat :

tiredness,

dizzy,

diarrhea,

aphrodisiacs and

pneumonia.

The leaves can be used to treat bump.

Also increase the sexual desire in male mencit.

5 mice (Mus musculus)

3 ginseng jawa (Talinum paniculatum) leaves (0.5g) mix with 100 ml water

Mice food

Mice is weighed daily

Amount of water consumed are measured

Cotton and chloroform

Water was applied on the ventral side of mice

The kidney, small intestine and liver were dissected.

Fixation.

Dehydration.

Clearing.

Embedding.

Sectioning.

Coloring/ staining.

Paraffin solution added in mold followed by the organ.

Tissue sample then was left for 5 days.

The infiltrating medium (paraffin) provides cellular support for cutting tissue sections.

The goblet cell in this intestine secretes more mucous compared to the normal

intestine

Wide spaces in between cells showing the sinusoid. This means that more enzymes

are secreted to detoxify the drug (ginseng jawa). In the normal slide the sinusoid is

compact.

The presence of vitamin C in Talinumpaniculatum causes more enzyme to be released to detoxify the drugs in the liver cells.

The glomerular is tightly packed due to the toxic caused by the drug that is being

detoxify by the glomerular as compared to the normal kidney slide.

Tannins precipitate proteins inhibits in some ruminant animals

for the absorption of nutrients from high-tannin grains

such as sorghum. Tannic acid does not affect absorption

of other trace minerals such as zinc, copper, and manganese in rats

Prove: the glomerulus at kidney cell is tightly packed compared to the original slide of kidney where there are some spaces between the glomerulus.

The lethal dose of Talinum paniculatum around 6% is able to increase the animal's body weight.

Prove: the mice’s body weight increases drastically in that 20 days.
