Five Mus musculus have been used to investigate the effect of

(ginseng jawa) to the liver, kidney and intestine within `

of experimental.

Page 5: Talinum paniculatum

• Class of mammalian

• Easy to get

• Easy to handle-small in size

To know the effect of TalinumPaniculatum

size and

body weight of Mus musculus

Behaviour investigation of the

Mus musculus.

Page 7: Talinum paniculatum

Talinum Paniculatum contains

vitamin c and

toxic

Tanin,

Saponin and

Flavoid.

So we carry out this experiment to see the side effects of Tanilum Paniculatum to the internal organs (intestine, kidney and liver) of Mus musculus.

Page 8: Talinum paniculatum

Experiment applicable only to five Mus musculus.

only three leaves of TanilumPaniculatum used everyday.

Time limitation to only 20 days

DAVID FAIRCHILD,

COCONUT GROOVE,

FLORIDA

Page 11: Talinum paniculatum

DR J.L HEID said that in his report :

In the green leaves of Talinum The Vitamin C

is about 160 mg per 100 gram

The Talinum show the phenomenally high content of vitamin C compared to guavas and sweet peppers.

It also probably has a considerable contents of carotenoid pigments.

Page 12: Talinum paniculatum
Page 13: Talinum paniculatum

Chemical content in Talinum paniculatumcomposed of

saponin,

flavanoid and

tanin.

Saponin - strengthen our body and

- improve blood circulation.

Saponin : can cause irritation in mucosa membrane, and can damage red blood cell through hemolysis

Page 14: Talinum paniculatum

The root can be used to treat :

tiredness,

dizzy,

diarrhea,

aphrodisiacs and

pneumonia.

The leaves can be used to treat bump.

Also increase the sexual desire in male mencit.

Dehydration

Ethanol 70% (< 24 hours)

Ethanol 80%, 95%, 100% (< 1 hour)

Clearing

Toluene solution (< 24 hours)

Embedding (Paraffin processing) Paraffin solution (60C) (< 1 hour)

Paraffin solution (60C) (< 1 hour)

• (twice procedure)

Paraffin solution added in mold followed by the organ.

Tissue sample then was left for 5 days.

The infiltrating medium (paraffin) provides cellular support for cutting tissue sections.

After taking Talinum paniculatum as their drink.

The Talinum paniculatum

Page 28: Talinum paniculatum

Wide spaces in between cells showing the sinusoid. This means that more enzymes

are secreted to detoxify the drug (ginseng jawa). In the normal slide the sinusoid is

compact.

40 x magnification

Page 29: Talinum paniculatum

The presence of vitamin C in Talinumpaniculatum causes more enzyme to be released to detoxify the drugs in the liver cells.

prove: white spaces (sinusoid)seen in effected liver cells while the original cell the (sinusoid) is more compact.

The glomerular is tightly packed due to the toxic caused by the drug that is being

detoxify by the glomerular as compared to the normal kidney slide.

Effect of Talinum

paniculatum

Increase the appetite

Improve blood

circulation

Stimulate testosterone hormone to

enhance sexual desire

they will get attracted to mate becomes active and aggressive

Weight gain

Tannins precipitate proteins inhibits in some ruminant animals

for the absorption of nutrients from high-tannin grains

such as sorghum. Tannic acid does not affect absorption

of other trace minerals such as zinc, copper, and manganese in rats

Prove: the glomerulus at kidney cell is tightly packed compared to the original slide of kidney where there are some spaces between the glomerulus.

The lethal dose of Talinum paniculatum around 6% is able to increase the animal's body weight.

Prove: the mice’s body weight increases drastically in that 20 days.
