PROGRAMA
urbano.
Inglês:
The students are going to improve their knowledge of methods to evaluate the importance of trees in urban environment. The focus is on the relation with built structures, social aspects and quality of life. Furthermore it is given attention to the necessity of forest management in backyards, streets, squares, parks and permanent preservation areas. The aim is to create opportunities to guarantee good life conditions through the urban forest system.
Espanhol:
Students entering the Course of Forest Resources intend to develop field research related to ecological aspects, conservation and management of forested areas. It is therefore necessary that fundamental concepts related to the structure and
functioning of the urban forest ecosystem be studied in depth. So that graduate students can obtain new forms of experimental analysis concerning the coexistence of
trees in cities and their importance.
