    Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) is the oldest university inIndonesia. It is also the largest university in terms of student population.

    Located in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, the university is acknowledgedas one of the best university in Indonesia.UGM has 18 faculties with 73 undergraduate study programs, 28

    diploma study programs, and 62 gradute study programs.One of notable alumni of UGM is Prof. Boediono the current vice

    president of Indonesia. He was a lecturer of faculty of economics andbusiness of UGM, and also the former governor of Central Bank ofIndonesia.

    Faculty of Pharmacy UGM was founded by the Ministry of HealthIndonesia on September 27, 1949 as the oldest pharmacy college indonesia. Its also acknowledged as one of the best pharmacy institutionIndonesia.

    There are four majors that should be chosen by the students oneir 6th semester:

    1. Science and technology pharmacy2. Industrial pharmacy

    3. Community and clinical pharmacy4. Natural resources pharmacy

    Yogyakarta is one of the province in Indonesiacated in southern coast of Java. It is called aspecial Region because Yogyakarta is the onlyrovince in Indonesia that is governed by Sultan.

    Yogyakarta or Jogja is known as the center ofassical Javanese fine art and culture such as batik,ayang (puppet) and traditional dances.

    Taman Sari Water Castle A former royal garden of the Sultanate ofYogyakarta. It was built as a resting place for

    Sultan and his family. It has a large bathingcomplex and some artificial lakes surround it.Nowadays only the bathing complex is wellpreserved

    KeratonThe official name is Keraton NgayogyakartaHadiningrat. Keraton is the palace andresidence of Sultan. Its acknowledge as thebest javanese palace architecture.

    Malioboro

    Malioboro is a major shopping street in Jogja,near Keraton. Its a must visit place in Jogjawith many stalls selling variety of goods, Batikshops, mall, restaurant, and hotels.

    Tongseng, although it is believed to be originated from Solo, but it's not

    difficult to find a plate of rice served together with tongseng in Jogja. Tongseng is

    likely a kind ofgulai(cooked meat in highseasoned broth from coconut milk), but

    with deeper flavour of spices. The meat used can be from the ribs or spines of goats.

    It is then sauted at the same time with some kinds of vegetable such as cabagge,

    onion, and tomato, and added with seasoning and soybean sauce.

    Bakmi Jawa, or translated javanese noodle, is a kind of noodle cooked with

    special spice and seasoning with Javanese style and there is some chicken shred over it.

    Most of javanese noodle is cooked with broth. The way ofpreparation is unique. It is

    cooked in a pot of clay, on the flame of charcoal on a fireplace.There are also other

    variations like fried javanese noodle, javanese rice noodle (fried or cooked with broth),

    and magelangan. The sellers of javanese noodle mainlyoffer not only javanese noodle,

    but also these kinds of variation. For your information, magelangan is the combination

    of fried rice and fried noodle in one plate. Fried rice or we call it here nasi goreng is very

    famous food from Indonesia. You have to try it. You will not be satisfied yet before tasting

    nasi goreng in Indonesia.
