WELCOME TO SBRC 2016The Brazilian Symposium on Computer Networks and Distributed Systems (SBRC) is an annual event promoted by Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) and the National Laboratory of Computer Networks (LARC). For more than three decades, SBRC has become the most important national scientific event on computer networks and distributed systems, and one of the most significant in the computer science field.

The SBRC is promoted by Brazilian Computer Society (SBC), a scientific non-profit society that brings together researchers, professors, students and professionals engaged in scientific research, education and technological development in Computer Science. The SBC is part of the Brazilian Society for Science Progress (SBPC) and the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP).

20 technical sessions with presentation of scientific paperscarefully selected by a program committee;

3 tutorials on relevant topics in the area, presented by internationally renowned researchers;

5 didactic mini-courses on current issues, taught by professors and/or researchers in the area;

3 technical seminars on advanced topics, presented by national and international experts;

Data, Software Defined Networks, Social Networking, Crowdsourcing.

SBRC is the largest conference area in Latin America and attracts on

average 800 participants (scientists, engineers, educators and graduate

and postgraduate students. The Industrial Day is a great opportunity of

visibility for leading companies in the market. The presentation of

products and advanced technologies allows bringing high-level

researchers to take a closer look at relevant industry problems, and also

facilitate their interaction with the productive chain. The event itself is a
