geral;
Desenvolver reflexibilidade (habilidade de identificar pressupostos e implicações,
através de atividades de leitura crítica e debates;
questionamentos e desafios que provoquem a curiosidade e o interesse;
construção de sentidos;

POEM
The ten things I hate about you
I hate the way you talk to me and the way you cut your hair; / I hate the way you drive my
car;
I hate it when you stare.
I hate your big dumb combat boots and the way you read my mind;
I hate you so much it makes me sick; It even makes me rhyme;
I hate it, /I hate it when you lie.
I hate it when you make me laugh, even worse when you make me cry;
I hate it when you’re not around and the fact that you didn´t call. But mostly I hate the way, I
don’t hate you, not even close; not even a little bit, not even at all.
(Freire, 1996; p. 86)

2ª UNIDADE:
Tema: STREET CHILDREN
Material: slides PowerPoint ( TV pendrive) e Texto (handouts)
Público alvo: Séries finais do Ensino Fundamental e Médio
A autora cita a professora Rosely Fishman
humanidade.
f. Descobrir e expor informações encontradas no texto.
g. Compreender a pratica da leitura scanning e skimming.
ATIVIDADES PROPOSTAS
(Usar
flechas para as idéias).
2. Apresentação do Power point;

2.2
The number of children living in the street all over the world nowadays is about 100
millions. (ONU)
2.3.
Why do you think there are so many children in the streets ?
São Paulo has more people than New York City.
There are 17 million kids, ages 10-14.
Many children go to street because they are hungry and don’t have food at
home.
What are the implications ?
Are there solutions?
Who must help them?
Who is responsible ?
How about this problem in your community?

It’s a group of children and teenagers coordinated by an educator who teaches them
many kinds of African rhythms, offering them the opportunity to have many artistic
presentations in important events in Curitiba and out.
This project brings these people a good self steem and avoid them to stay in the
streets, next to the risk of drugs and other kinds of danger.
2.5
What do you think about this project?
Do you Know the participants? And the coordinator?
How can we help them?
Do you know any other social projects ?
How is it contributing to the community/ society ?
4.Leitura do texto (hand out) em grupos.
Street children
Street children throughout the world are subjected to physical abuse by police or have been
murdered outright, as governments treat them as a blight to be eradicated-rather than as
children to be nurtured and protected. They are frequently detained arbitrarily by police
simply because they are homeless, or criminally charged with vague offenses such as
loitering, vagrancy, or petty theft. They are tortured or beaten by police and often held for
long periods in poor conditions.
Girls are sometimes sexually abused, coerced into sexual acts, or raped by police. Street
children also make up a large proportion of the children who enter criminal justice systems
and are committed finally to correctional institutions (prisons) that are euphemistically called
schools, often without due process. Few advocates speak up for these children, and few street
children have family members or concerned individuals willing and able to intervene on their
behalf.
The term street children refers to children for whom the street more than their family has
become their real home. It includes children who might not necessarily be homeless or
without families, but who live in situations where there is no protection, supervision, or
direction from responsible adults.
While street children receive national and international public attention, that attention has
been focused largely on the social, economic and health problems of the children --
poverty, lack of education, AIDS, prostitution, and. substance abuse With the exception of
the massive killings of street children in Brazil and Colombia, often by police, which Human
Rights Watch reported in 1994, very little attention has been paid to the constant police
violence and abuse from which many children suffer. This often neglected side of street
children's lives has been a focus of Human Rights Watch's research and action.
The public view of street children in many countries is overwhelmingly negative. The public
has often supported efforts to get these children off the street, even though they may result in
police round ups, or even murder. There is an alarming tendency by some law enforcement
personnel and civilians, business proprietors and their private security firms, to view street
children as almost sub-human.
information), e sim skimming(reading for general understanding). Cada grupo deve registrar
as informações obtidas com a leitura;
5. Apresentação dos grupos e comentários;

For people who deem needles too scary and
surgery too drastic, the latest anti-aging fad may
appeal: facial yoga. Based on the premise that facial
muscles, like any other muscle, need exercise to
stay toned, enthusiasts of facial yoga say the
regular practice of making kissy faces or wagging
one's tongue can reduce worry lines and wrinkles —
and even create a little peace within.
Look to this picture and try to discover what kind of discursive gender is
it.

ESTUDO DE NOTÍCIA DE JORNAL
. Britney Spears has been allowed to see her children three times a week. The
singer, who has been involved in a custody battle with her former husband, Kevin Federline,
has also been ordered to undergo random drug and alcohol tests. This report from Peter Bowes:
Britney Spears can spend two afternoons and one full night with her two young sons, but the
visits will be monitored and she has to meet several conditions imposed by the court.
As well as undergoing drug and alcohol tests, the singer has been told to child-proof her
house and to ensure the children are in car seats when they are being driven.
The court ruling refers to a report written by a parenting coach. It concludes that the singer
loves her sons and that they are bonded to her, but the home environment ranged from
chaotic to almost sombre, with little communication at all.
Kevin Federline was given full custody of the children earlier this month.
