Tais atividades consistem na leitura e análise dos contos de fadas “Beauty and the Beast” e “The Frog Prince”.
Palavras-chave: leitura; conto de fadas; língua inglesa
Formato do Material Didático: Unidade Didática
Público:
Alunos do 6º ano do Ensino Fundamental
conhecimento.
Assim, entendemos a
A estrutura deste material é a seguinte:
PRIMEIRO MOMENTO: Focalizando a importância da leitura
Explicação do projeto e os objetivos que o norteiam;
relação à Língua Inglesa e o que sabem sobre o gênero conto de fadas;
Apresentação da Unidade Didática;
Exploração das imagens;
Realização de atividades focalizando a leitura.
Carga horária: 2 aulas.
SEGUNDO MOMENTO: Caracterização do gênero conto de fadas
Leitura do conto “Beauty and the Beast” a partir da interpretação das imagens;
Realização de atividades baseadas na compreensão do texto;

fadas em estudo.
Carga horária: 4 aulas.
QUARTO MOMENTO: Apresentação do conto “The Frog Prince”
Leitura a partir da interpretação de imagens;

Realização de atividades baseadas na música “What a Wonderful World”.
Carga horária: 2 aulas.
SEXTO MOMENTO: Contextualização do tema
Apresentação do pequeno filme “The Frog Prince”;
Exploração da versão do conto apresentada no filme;

Beauty and the Beast
A rich merchant had three sons and three daughters.
Every evening the monster came to watch Beauty eat and they talked together.
He made her agree to return in one week.
He opened his eyes and she told him that she loved him.
Her father was very pleased to see her and she stayed for more than a week.
His children were very worried.
Instantly, she was back with the monster.
Next morning he saw a rose and remembering Beauty he picked it for her.
One day the merchant set off to a distant town to do some business.
She took the ring and returned it on her finger.
She was so sorry that she kissed him.
So Beauty returned with her father to the castle.
Suddenly a huge monster appeared and said, “You have eaten my food and slept in
my bed, now you have taken my rose!”
Suddenly, one night, she woke up. She felt something terrible had happened.
The father came to the castle.
The merchant told the monster that the rose was for his daughter. “Give me your
daughter otherwise I will eat you!” said the monster.
The merchant was having a difficult time and no money left.
The merchant went home so that he could say goodbye to his children before
returning to the monster to be eaten. However, Beauty insisted on returning with him.
The other sisters wanted him to bring them dresses from the city; the brothers
wanted smart hats; Beauty just asked for a rose.
The youngest daughter was called Beauty.
There was no one about so he aslept on of the beds.
This continued for several months until Beauty said how much she missed her father.
The monster gave her a ring and told her that it would carry her home and back
again instantly.
This was the magic he needed! He returned back into a beautiful prince.

She looked around to the side from where the voice came and saw a
frog. “ah! i‟m crying because my golden ball fell down into the well.”
“be quiet, and don‟t cry” - answered the frog - “i can help you, but what
will you give me if i bring the ball up again?” “whatever you will have,
dear frog !” said the princess.
The frog answered:
_ I want that you love me and let me be your company, and sit on your
table and eat in your plate, and drink in your glass and sleep in your
bed_ if you promise me this, i will go down below and bring the Golden
ball for you.

Brothers Grimm’s Short Biography

The youngest daughter was called Beauty. A rich merchant had three sons and three daughters. The merchant was having a difficult time and no money left. His children were very worried. One day the merchant set off to a distant town to do some business. The other sisters wanted him to bring them dresses from the city; the brothers wanted smart hats; Beauty just asked for a rose. The father came to the castle. There was no one about so he aslept on of the beds. Next morning he saw a rose and remembering Beauty he picked it for her. Suddenly a huge monster appeared and said, “You have eaten my food and slept in my bed, now you have taken my rose!” The merchant told the monster that the rose was for his daughter. “Give me your daughter otherwise I will eat you!” said the monster. The merchant went home so that he could say goodbye to his children before returning to the monster to be eaten. However, Beauty insisted on returning with him. So Beauty returned with her father to the castle. Every evening the monster came to watch Beauty eat and they talked togheter.This continued for several months until Beauty said how much she missed her father. The monster gave her a ring and told her that it would carry her home and back again instantly. He made her agree to return in one week.Her father was very pleased to see her and she stayed for more than a week, Suddenly, one night, she woke up. She felt something terrible had happened. She took the ring and returned it on her finger. Instantly, she was back with the monster. She was so sorry that she kissed him. He opened his eyes and she told him that she loved him. He opened his eyes and she told him that she loved him. This was magic he
needed! He returned back into a beautiful prince. x Para introduzir o conto “The Frog Prince”, comece explorando as fotos de sapo e abra uma discussão sobre esse animal. Você pode fazer perguntas como: a) Do you Know the importance of this animal for the environment? b) Do you know the difference between frog and toad?
