Na firma onde trabalho h muitos chineses que esto dandosuporte tcnico em nossa rea. Alguns deles falam ingls, ecom a ajuda de outros amigos acabamos nos interagindo e emuma dessas interaes ficamos conhecendo um pouco de sualngua e cultura, que muito me facina. Em especial um denossos amigos chineses, cujo nome eu no sei pronunciar

(rsrsrsrs), nos mostrou algumas curiosidades sobre a China, euma delas a enorme esttua de Buda de Leshan.

No perodo de maior prosperidade do budismo, mais de 170templos foram construdos na montanha. Havia quase um

templo para cada monte. Porm, apenas 29 foram

preservados. Entre os quais, esto os Templos Baoguo eWannian, os mais famosos. O Templo Baoguo o maior da

montanha e seu principal carto postal, onde se encontra a

esttua do Buda Samantabhadra, construdo em 980. O Budaaparece elegante e imponente com uma coroa dourada e

kasaya, montado num elefante com seus ps sustentados porflores de loto. Com 7,38 metros de altura e 62 toneladas depeso, a esttua no mostra sinais de soldadura, sendo por

isso considerada obra prima da rea.

Mesmo no possuindo a tranqilidade do passado, os budistas,

vestidos de amarelo, continuam suas atividades religiosascomo se estivessem em outro mundo e transmitindo assim o

budismo para as geraes posteriores.

O Grande Buda Leshan, situado na montanha Lingyun, a lesteda Emei, constitui mais um precioso patrimnio histrico. Obuda ergue-se numa encosta da montanha Lingyun na regio

onde os Rios Ming, Dadu e Qingyi correm um ao lado dooutro. Segundo os registros, a construo do buda visavam

aproveitar a fora sagrada budista para controlar as

inundaes desses rios. O monge Haitong foi o pioneiro daobra que desenvolveu por 20 anos obteve os primeiros

recursos para o projeto. A construo do buda comeou em713 de nossa era e terminou 90 anos depois.

O Buda to grande que pode contemplar de longe de vriosquilmetros. Sua cabea mede 14,7 metros e sua largura 10

metros; a orelha possui 7 metros de altura, enquanto o denariz e sobrancelhas, respectivamente, possuem 5,6 metros;os olhos medem 3,3 metros; os ombros, com 24 metros. O p de 8,5 metros de largura, onde podem ficar mais de cem

pessoas de uma vez. Perante este Grande Buda, ningum podedeixar de admirar: o Buda a montanha, a montanha o

buda.

Alm de sua grandeza, a escultura uma obra ntida comtraos muito vivos. Tecnologicamente, existe um sistema de

drenagem de gua na obra, bem projetado e invisvelincrustado nos franzidos dos vesturios, em braos e costas,

Delta do Nilo.

Em 1996, a motanha Emei e o Grande Buda Leshan foramincludos na lista de patrimnios cultural e natural do mundo.
