ACOUSTIC SPECIFICATION FORDUCT LAGGING TO CAR PARK EXTRACT FANS
(10kg/m2 MASS BARRIER)
The car park extract fans and any ductwork and/or plena between the fans and the associatedattenuators shall be completely acoustically lagged with either of the following:
Option A Ductwork shall first be lagged with 50mm mineral wool slab (minimum density100kg/m3). Ductwork shall then be wrapped using a complex laminatecomposite with an internal mass barrier (minimum 10kg/m2) on a supportingglass-fibre carrier faced both sides with high tensile glass-fibre insulation.
Option B Ductwork shall be wrapped using a complex laminate composite with an outermass barrier (minimum 10kg/m2) on a supporting 45kg/m3 lamella rock fibre.
The exposed face of the product is to be faced with Class O reinforced aluminium foil. Thereverse side is to be faced with glass-fibre finish.
The acoustic media shall not comprise materials which are generally composed of mineralfibres, either man made or naturally occurring, which have a diameter of 3 microns or less anda length of 200 microns or less or which contain any fibres not sealed or otherwise stabilisedto ensure fibre migration is prevented.
A suitable product is Siderise DW10P or DPF10RL50 and a suitable supplier is:
