complementares das que vierem a ser implementadas pela ‘JTI on Bio-Based

Industries’ e visa o lado da oferta da biomassa p/ bioprodutos da cadeia de

valor através do desenvolvimento de matérias-primas inovadoras, I&I na

pró xima geração de biorefinarias utiliz ando CO2 como matéria prima direta

e apoiando os mercados p/ os produtos de base bioló gica.

Specific challenge: Potential of novel interesting enz y mes is high but commercialization

limited by constraints in screening and ex pression technologies and IPR issues

Scope: Develop and demonstrate innovative technologies for high throughput enzyme

screening, ex pression of marine enzymes and proteins, including purif ication sy stems and

upscaling of the marine enz y mes.

W in-w in academic and industry cooperation on issues related to IPR .

Ex pected Impact: Enhance competitiveness and sustainability of European industry

using marine enz y mes (pharmaceuticals, f ine chemicals… ) through increased ef f iciency in

the enz y me identif ication-to-mark et success rate. Social benefit, novel, improved, more
