Pip and his family live in the wild wood, where there are lots and lots different types of trees. The pattern on each tree is special. Create a collage to show how unique each tree is! Ask an adult to help you with the cutting out. You will need:• Thin tracing paper in a variety of colours • Pencils or crayons • Blunt scissors • Paper glue • Leaves • strong card Directions:

1. Collect a variety of leaves from your garden, local park or nearest woodland. The more variety the better!

2. Place a leaf on a table with the veined side up facing. Put a thin tracing paper over the leaf and rub over it with a pencil or crayon until the pattern of the leaf appears on the paper.

3. Do this with all your leaves, using different coloured paper each time.

4. Stick these rubbings and the real leaf on to the card to create your nature collage.

5. If you want to make your collage even more exciting, look for different woodland species, including acorns, cones and berries to glue on?
