Building on the allure of Europe’s sun-drenched south, designs are finished in Cordova, a rustic, mid-tone brown with heavy physical and chemical distressing. The techniques—rock dent, rasping, burnishing, fly speck and spatter, cow tailing, and axe marks—further the distinctive, aged appearance of each piece.

Select pieces offer an equally rich look with the Artisan finish—hand-rubbed, hand-chiseled black paint. Additional elements of distressing—hand-planed, chiseled, rub-through, wormhole, and rock dent—lend an authentic patina. Each process is further evidence of the quality and heirloom potential in Costa del Sol’s designs.

Evoking Spanish design influences, a stylized ring pull and grand bail and rosette are set apart with an antique, flamed brass finish. A smaller ring gets its inspiration from door knockers, while there are a variety of detailed knobs, all in the antique, flamed brass finish.

Each piece of natural marble used in Costa del Sol is unique. The characteristic swirls, vein lines and pattern variations are due to mineral impurities originally present in the limestone and also give marble its color. Consequently your marble will not be identical in color to the piece shown here. In addition, structural variations of the stone’s crystallization cause what appear to be hairline cracks. Like the color variations, the structural variations are not a defect but an important part of any marble’s unique character.

Costa del Sol features only the finest top-grain leather that’s been aniline-dyed to give it a more supple texture, greater depth and a rich patina that only gets better with time. Gentle distressing adds to its aged, heirloom appearance. Because leather is a natural product, both color and texture will vary slightly from hide to hide and even within the same hide. These natural markings and color variations enhance leather’s individual character
