INSTRUÇÕES PARA O USO DO CINTO DE SEGURANÇA

1 – Colocação do Cinto Puxar o cinto com uma mão e com a outra mão a fixar a extremidade na respectiva ranhura do assento.

Apertar até ouvir o clique que indica que a extremidade se fixou no sítio correcto. Deve confirmar que a

cinto não está torcido.

2 – Ajustar o cinto Os instrumentos usados para ajustar o comprimento das diferentes fitas são chamados ajustadores e

devem ser usados da seguinte forma.

Para alongar uma fita, pegue no ajustador correspondente e puxe para que a correia deslize no seu

interior. Para encurtar uma fita, pegue na parte livre da fita e puxe para conseguir ajustar o

comprimento. Deve seguir a sequência de ajustamento como descrito em seguida:

- Ajustar as fitas abdominais;

- Use os ajustadores ou os auxiliares de adaptação (na fixação do suporte) para ter a certeza que o

adaptador está centrado relativamente às ancas do condutor e que as fitas estão o mais apertadas

possível, sem provocar desconforto ao condutor;

- Ajustar as peças dos ombros;

- Use o fixador de ombro para apertar as fitas abdominais sem as levantar. Para segurança do condutor

é muito importante que as fitas abdominais estejam na posição correcta, por exemplo tão baixas quanto

possível nas ancas do condutor, como mostra as figuras 1,2 e 3 em baixo.

3 – Libertar o cinto Carregue no botão vermelho, onde é indicado "press” para libertar as extremidades. As extremidades

libertam-se do adaptador concedendo liberdade ao condutor.

4 – Limpeza Para limpar o cinto, deve passar as fitas com uma esponja molhada. Não branqueie nem tinja o cinto de

segurança pois tal pode originar a redução das propriedades intrínsecas dos tecidos.

5 – Avisos Importantes: Assegure-se que o tecido do cinto não se encosta contra pontas afiadas ou extremidades do assento ou

do cockpit. Verifique regularmente a eficiência do cinto e dos seus componentes.

Cintos que tenham sido danificados (cortes, desfiar-se, …) ou usados em carros envolvidos em acidentes

devem ser imediatamente substituídos. Em caso de acidente, é também recomendável que verifique se

os pontos de fixação do cinto ao carro não foram afectados.

Não modifique, em nenhuma circunstância a configuração do cinto de segurança (por exemplo não deve

adicionar ou remover nenhuma fita).

Carro só com um banco (figura 1): - Deve utilizar as bases de assento fornecidas pelo fabricante.

Carros de produção em série: Localização dos fixadores (verifique fig. 4-5).

- Fixadores (A-B) para as fitas abdominais: um está localizado à direita (normalmente no próprio

assento), e um outro à esquerda na longitudinal do carro;

- Fixadores (C-D) para as peças dos ombros: use os fixadores mais baixos dos cintos de trás

(normalmente localizados debaixo das almofadas de trás);

- Verifique manual de uso e manutenção da viatura para localizar os pontos de fixação dos cintos na sua

viatura.

a) – Apertar as fitas do cinto aos ajustamentos da viatura. Dependo dos modelos do cinto de segurança, podem existir diferentes sistemas de aperto, como se

mostra nas figuras 6-7. Quando estiver a montar um sistema do tipo 7, assegure-se que as fitas do cinto

fixadas com o apoio “A” podem rodar livremente em volta do parafuso para a posição correcta.

b) – Atenção! Para fixar e montar o cinto de segurança no carro, utilize apenas os pontos de fixação especificados pelo

fabricante automóvel (verifique o manual de uso e manutenção da sua viatura).

EN - INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF THE SEATBELT 1 – Putting on the belt. Take the with one hand and fit with the other hand the tongue into the respective slot of the bluckle.

Push them until you hear the clicks indicating that the tongue have snapped into place. Make sure the

webbing is not twisted.

2 – Adjusting the harness. The device used adjust the length of the different webbings are called adjusters and are used as follows:

- To lengthen a ribbon, take the corresponding adjuster and pull so that the ribbon slides inside it.

- To shorten a ribbon, take the free and projecting out from the adjuster and pull. Follow the adjustment

sequence described below.

- Adjusting the abdominal straps.

- Use the adjusters or the adjustment devices (in the anchorage to the bracket) to make sure that the

bruckle is centred relative to the driver´s hips and that the ribbon is as tight as possible without being

uncomfortable.

- Adjustable the shoulder pieces.

- Use the shoulder piece adjuster to tighten the abdominal straps without raising them. For the driver´s

safety, it is important that the abdominal straps be in the right position, i.e. as low as possible on the

driver´s hips, as show in fig. 1,2 and 3.

3 – Opening the bucket. Push the red “press” button to release the tongue. The tongue goes out of the slot and freeing the

driver from the belt.

4 – Cleaning. To clean the harness, wipe the webbing every now and then with a sponge soaked in hot soapy water.

Do not bleach or dye the seatbelt as this might reduce the fabric´s intrinsic properties.

5 – Important warnings. Make sure that the fabric does not rub against sharp corners or cutting edges of the seat or body work;

Check at regular intervals the efficiency of the belt and it components;

Seatbelts that have been damage (cuts, fraying) or used in cars involved in an accident must be

immediately replaced and, in the event of an accident, it is also recommended to make sure that the

anchorage points in the cars are undamaged;

Do not modify in any way the configuration of the seatbelt (i.e. add or remove a strap, etc.).

SEATBELT ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Single seater cars: Use the brackets provided by car manufacturer.

Series produced cars: Location of the anchorages (see fig. 4-5).

- Anchorages (A-B) for the abdominal straps: these are located one to the right, generally on the

seat, and one to the left on the car longitudinal (in left hand driven cars).

- Anchorages (C-D) for the shouder pieces: use the lower anchorages of the rear seatbelts (generally

located under the rear cushions).

- See the car use maintenance booklet to locate the anchorages.

a) Fastening the seatbelts straps to the fittings in the car. Depending on seatbelt model, there may be different fastening systems as shown for instance in figs. 6-

7. When assembling type 7 make sure that the seatbelt straps fastened with bracket “A” can rotate

freely around the screw into the correct position.

b) Warning! To assemble the seatbelt into the car, use only the anchorage points specified by the car manufacturer

(see the use and the maintenance booklet).
