Regin sensors and switches Comfortable and economic indoor climate

To measure is to know.Temperature, carbon dioxide, air circulation andhumidity in buildings are constantly affected byconditions outside and inside the building. To maintaina pleasant indoor climate and safeguard energy-efficient operations the control systems need constantinformation.

The temperature transmitters and sen-sors with housing in the Tempero seriesare designed according to Ready-Steady-Go with the aim of simplifyinginstallation, and commissioning.

The Regin room transmitteris available as a combined CO

2, temperature

and humidity transmitter.

The Regin differential pressure transmitter forair has four selectable measuring ranges.

The Regin range includes NTC, PT100

and PT1000 temperature sensors and

transmitters. For room, pipe, duct, im-

mersion and floor mounting etc.

High concentrations of CO2cause

headaches, dizziness and fatigue. The

maximum limit of 1 000 ppm should

therefore not be exceeded. Regins CO2

transmitters give a direct indication of

the indoor air quality, which makes it

possible to increase the supply air as long

as necessary.

A clogged filter impairs quality of the

supply air and is bad economy. Reginsdifferential pressure transmitters control

the condition of filters and give an alarm

when service is needed.

The relative humidity (RH) in buildings

is recommended to be between 25-80%

in the winter and 20-70% in the sum-

mer. At any season of the year, you can

rely on Regins humidity transmitters

and humidistats.

HumidityHumidity transmittersRegin humidity transmitters have a capacitive thin-film

element that gives a signal that is proportional to the

relative humidity (RH). The measuring element rapidly

responds to changes in humidity and can be subjected

to up to 100% RH without being damaged.

HumidistatsRegin humidistat are used for controlling humidifyingand/or dehumidifying in HVAC systems. The humidi-stats have human hair or a synthetic element as sensor

medium. The hair stretches as the humidity increasesand shrinks as the humidity decreases. The changes aretransmitted to a micro switch.

Pressure and Air flowDifferential pressure switchThe differential pressure switch has a synthetic spring

suspended membrane which is linked to a changeover

contact. When the differential pressure exceeds the

setpoint value the contact switches. The differential

pressure switch is used to supervise and monitor fans,

filters and air handling units, to control defrosting func-

tions etc.

Pressure transmittersRegin pressure and differential pressure transmitters use a

ceramic measuring beam. The differential pressure affects

a membrane that works directly against the measuring

beam with a film resistor. When the resistance changes it is

converted to a proportional output control signal.

Duct sensor for air velocityThe air velocity sensor operates with a specially designed

thin-film element which is heat sensitive (the hot-film

anemometer principle). The cooling rate of the element,

which depends on the air velocity, is measured and trans-

formed to an output signal proportional to the air speed.

Temperature sensors and transmittersWhenever you need to keep track of the temperaturein- and outside a building Regin has all you need. Theproduct range includes NTC, PT100 and PT1000 sen-sors and transmitters.

NTC sensors Measures the temperature resistance in a ceramic

element (NTC). When the temperature rises the resistance is

reduced.

PT100/PT1000 sensors Based on platinum elements with standardized resistance.

PT100: 100 ohms at 0C.

PT1000: 1000 ohms at 0C.

Available in a wide range of mounting versions
