Siemens CCS MSCP-The platform

Siemens CCS delivers MSCPs based onspecific customer requirements. Thetype, physical dimensions, and overallcapabilities of the modular vehicle-shelter solution are determined ac-cording to customer needs and the re-lated operational environment.

Deployment capabilities allowing op-erations in areas with unpaved roadsand rough tracks define the minimumspecification requirements for vehicle

chassis selection.

For quick maintenance turn-aroundand availability of replacement parts,vehicle types with local support serv-ice facilities are usually preferred.MSCPs may be: Large units equipped with advanced

command, control & communica-tion hardware and software

Medium-sized solutions based on 10to 20-ton loading capacity vehicles

suitable for command and controluse, remote operations and on siteincident management

Smaller, SUV-sized Mobile CommandPosts with enhanced off-road capabilities

All modular vehicle-shelter designshave a fully autonomous shelter/command post section based on amilitary-spec model, with ISOstandardized dimensions andmounting. MSCP shelters, which canbe dismounted from the vehicle andused as stationary command andcontrol centers, share the followingfeatures:

Command / Operations Support

Functional Area The heart of theMSCP where Commander, radiodispatchers and data entry personnelwork stations are ergonomicallysituated for maximum efficiency andsmooth work-share. Depending onthe requested specifications, workstations for Deputy Commanders,Operations/Duty Officers, LiaisonOfficers, Negotiators, etc may beincluded. In the most commonmedium-sized MSCP configuration,

four fully equipped, multi-consolework stations are installed.

Meeting/Briefing Functional Area In medium-sized MSCP designs, this

meeting room space accommodatessix staff-members with immediateaccess to communications anddecision support systems.

Utilities Area - Containing kitchenette,lavatory and a full-size equipment rack.

Additional Compartments / Exten-sions In extended duration fieldoperations, command and controlcapabilities and accommodationspace can be augmented with plug-in

compartments, such as extra powergenerators and semi-rigid accommo-dation areas, designed to integratefast and easy with the main MSCPstructure.
