the UNSEEN photos of... ONFIRE 55. Este é o primeiroScrapbook que te mostra as fotos que não tiveram lugarnuma edição da revista ONFIRE, neste caso a 55. Qual-quer publicação desejava ter um milhão de páginas (oubudget para tal) para não deixar de fora as melhores fotosque recebe. É sempre necessária uma selecção altamentecriteriosa mas a verdade é que acabamos sempre por dei-xar de fora momentos (surfisticos e de lifestyle) premium.O que fazemos é escolher o momento mais premium den-tro dos premium para o publicar na edição em papel e osrestantes, na teoria, serão para futuras edições. No en-tanto, o tempo, os surfistas e os fotógrafos, acabaram pornos fazer ver que é impossível usar todos esses momentosem futuras edições! O nosso mais recente projecto, Scrap-book, foi pensado, de base, para dar continuidade às edi-ções em papel.the UNSEEN photos of... é, como já percebeste, o títulodos Scrapbook que o farão, e cada um será lançado cercade um mês após a saída de cada edição em papel (a ON-FIRE é uma revista bimestral).Nesta primeira edição online das “fotos não vistas” podesver as fotos que não couberam em alguns dos principaisartigos de fundo da edição 55: a surftrip aItália e o Slideshow. Mas tens ainda um terceiro conteúdonestas páginas virtuais, aquele a que chamamos de“bonus content”...

This is thefirst Scrapbook which brings you the photos thatnearly made it to the paper edition of ONFIRE 55.Everyone who works in a magazine wished theyhad a million pages (or budget for that) so theywouldn’t have to leave out any of the best photos,which arrive at the office every month. Photo edi-tion is never an easy task and every image has togo trough a tight selection but truth to be told wealways end up leaving out prime surf and lifestyleshots. In the end we have to choose between thebest of the best to publish in the paper issue ofONFIRE and keep the rest of it for future editions.But, as the photographers and surfers keep re-minding us, time proves us wrong and most ofthem never really make it to the magazine.That’s where the Scrapbook comes in, it will bereleased every other month, interchanging withONFIRE as an outlet for the best shots that did-n’t make it to the magazine but, somehow,should have.In this first online issue of the UNSEEN photosof... you’ll see the photos that nearly made it tothe pages of ONFIRE 55.
