1
favorecer o desenvolvimento significativo e
contextualizado do alunado.

THE ADVERTISEMENT NOT ONLY SELLS PRODUCTS AND SERVICES, IT ALSO
SELLS IDEAS AND PRODUCTS.
10
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THE ADVERTISEMENT…
A propaganda parece
estar no sangue do povo brasileiro. Mascates, ambulantes e tropeiros foram os
primeiros vendedores.
Persuasão vem do verbo persuadir.
negociante. Merchandising é de origem inglesa. É um tipo de negociação onde
alguém convence o outro a comprar.
consumidores.

COLORS
Meaning of colors in advertisements
p.134).
Visual representation of the advertisement and the choice of colors may
affect the readers to a large degree without them even realizing the impact. The

Ideology: A concept developed by Carl Marx about how ideas are diffused
through and imposed on society by the controlling power. When advertising is
examined on an ideological basis it can be viewed as corrupt, unethical, and
oppressive. Advertising is seen as the tool of the evil corporations and their globally
dominant brands. Advertising is responsible for our “Me! Me! More! More!
Materialistic society, continually creating and feeding consumer hunger. If
you don’t have, do, look like this then you are aberrant, not normal. Advertising
reinforces norms, and seeks to make society static. It relies many stereotypes. Most
advertising is about linking a particular product or brand to a particular set of qualities
or benefits in the consumer’s mind. This linkage is often achieved through
juxtaposition – the simple imposition of the qualities on the product, in the hope that
the consumer will make that connection themselves. Advertising is the route which
we gain a particular identity.’

POEM

EU ETIQUETA
....................
33
Agora sou anúncio
Ora vulgar ora bizarro.
Em língua nacional ou em qualquer língua
(Qualquer principalmente.)
E nisto me comparo, tiro glória
De minha anulação.
...................
Eu sou a Coisa, coisamente.
Carlos Drummond de Andrade

Deceptive Advertising
Advertising that makes false claims or misleading statements, as well as
advertising that creates a false impression. If retailers systematically advertise
merchandise at low prices to get customers into their store and then fail to have the
merchandise, they are guilty of deceptive advertising. Deceptive practices can take
many other forms as well, such as false promises, unsubstantiated claims,
incomplete descriptions, false testimonials or comparisons, small-print qualifications
of advertisements, partial disclosure, or visual distortion of products.
