Informamos que os CTT vão proceder à retirada de circulação das emissões de selos comemorativos, série base, etiquetas de impressão de franquia automática , inteiros postais e cartas inteiras relativas ao período de 2008 a 2010.

Os produtos indicados deixam de ter validade para circulação postal a partir 31 de Janeiro de 2018.

We inform that CTT are going to proceed with the withdrawal from circulation of the commemorative postage stamps, definitive sets and automatic franking labels, postal stationary and letter sheets from 2008 to 2010.

The products above mentioned will circulate till the 31st January 2018.

Em 2018, vamos ter no programa oficial dos selos de Portugal várias emissões que divulgam o património cultural menos bem conhecido do nosso país, com relevo para os produtos com a chancela da UNESCO: Louça de Bisalhães e fabrico artesanal de Chocalhos.E como um dos temas mais importantes do ano será exata-mente dedicado ao Património Cultural da Europa, não deixa-remos de fazer uma emissão de selos que vai permitir explo-rar mais alguns recantos do vasto espólio que Portugal possui nesta área.Divulgação cultural será igualmente a da série de selos dedica-da ao Museu do Oriente, a perfazer uma década de existência.A história estará mais uma vez presente, com a segunda sé-rie dedicada aos mais notáveis Arcebispos de Braga, e com a evocação da batalha de La Lys e do Armistício que pôs termo à Primeira Guerra Mundial. Da mesma fileira da evocação histórica sairá a terceira emissão dedicada a festejar os 500 anos do Correio em Portugal, que começou em 2016 e concluirá no ano do quinto centenário, em 2020.Madeira e Açores continuam a aparecer no nosso plano com emissões dedicadas, respetivamente, aos 600 anos do desco-brimento da Madeira por João Gonçalves Zarco e à espantosa diversidade geográfica e paisagística dos Açores.As mais importantes emissões de selos protocoladas interna-cionalmente, a série Europa sobre as Pontes e a série EuroMed sobre as Casas do Mediterrâneo estarão igualmente no plano deste ano. As Olimpíadas da Física, um concurso da juventude mundial que se realiza em Lisboa em 2018, dará também origem a uma série de selos sobre a importância desta área do conhecimento na formação juvenil.

Continuando no capítulo internacional, evocaremos o centená-rio de nascimento da grande figura que foi o Presidente Nelson Mandela, prémio Nobel da Paz e grande lutador pela não-dis-criminação racial.Na sempre ansiada temática de Fauna teremos uma série de-dicada às raças de mamíferos domésticos autóctones, a qual se poderá prolongar por mais um ano. E sobre Flora teremos a comemoração do aniversário do Jardim Botânico da Ajuda que, com os seus 250 anos de vida, é o mais antigo em funcionamento contínuo no nosso país.O Chocolate em Portugal será ainda outra emissão de selos que fará sonhar muitos dos nossos filatelistas, sobretudo aqueles que têm um paladar mais virado para esta matéria.E continuando na senda do delicioso, teremos a continuação da mais “doce” das temáticas na emissão base, com a segunda série destinada à continuada descoberta dos nossos doces re-gionais. Um conjunto de delícias que vai fazer com que muitos colecionadores sintam desejo natural de visitar as localidades onde estes existem.Por fim, o Rio Tejo, o maior da Península Ibérica, será ele também objeto de uma série de selos dedicada.Como se pode observar, este Plano de 2018 está cheio de boas ideias concretizadas em selos de correio. In 2018, the official programme for Portuguese stamps will in-clude various issues promoting some of the less well-known aspects of our country’s cultural heritage, highlighting products bearing the UNESCO stamp: Bisalhães black pottery and artisan production of the chocalho, a type of cowbell.And given that one of the most important themes of the year will be the Cultural Heritage of Europe, we cannot help but pro-duce an issue of stamps that will allow us to delve even further into Portugal’s plentiful assets in this area.Cultural promotion will also be the basis of the series of stamps dedicated to the Museu do Oriente, which this year is celebra- ting a decade of existence.History will be present once again, with the second series de-voted to the most important Archbishops of Braga, as well as issues recalling the Battle of the Lys and the Armistice that brought the First World War to a close.In the same vein as these historical evocations, we will see the third issue celebrating 500 years of Postal Services in Portugal, the first of which came in 2016 and which will conclude in the year of the five-hundredth anniversary, in 2020.Madeira and the Azores remain in our plan, with issues dedica- ted to the 600th anniversary of the discovery of Madeira by João Gonçalves Zarco and the amazing diversity of the geogra-phy and landscape of the Azores.The most important joint issues of stamps under international protocols, the Europa series on Bridges and the EuroMed series on Houses of the Mediterranean, also feature on this year’s plan.The Physics Olympiad, an international competition for young people, to be held in Lisbon in 2018, gives occasion for a series of stamps on the importance of this area of knowledge in chil-dren’s education.

Continuing the international theme, we will mark the cente-nary of the birth of the great figure that was President Nelson Mandela, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize and an important fighter against racial discrimination.On the ever-popular topic of fauna, we will issue a series devo- ted to native breeds of domestic mammals, with the possibility of it being continued for a further year.And on flora, we have the commemoration of the anniversary of the Ajuda Botanical Garden, which, in continuous operation for 250 years, is the oldest in the country.The issue on the theme of chocolate in Portugal will be one that will make many of our philatelists dream, especially those with a sweet tooth.And continuing to delight the taste buds, we come next to the “sweetest” of the themes of our base issue, with the second se-ries aimed at the continued discovery of our regional desserts. A selection of delicacies that will make many collectors yearn to visit the places where they can find them.Finally, the River Tagus, the longest of the Iberian Peninsula, will also be the subject of a series of dedicated stamps.As you can see, this 2018 Plan is full of good ideas brought to life in postage stamps.We are sure there will be something to please everybody.Taking this opportunity to address all collectors as the year comes to a close, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
